SOCIAL CHANGE AND SOCIAL POLICY The size of population demographically changes with respect to size, composition and distribution of population. Changing in population growth and composition is affecting the life of people throughout the world. The composition of a population refers to how it is divided according to age, sex, race, ethnic group, occupation, class and other variables. The composition of population affects the social life in sixties there was high birthrate which gives a powerful proportion of society ‘large no of youth’. This condition changes after sixties and birthrate reduces to two children only and ultimately no of youth decreases and old increases and death rate reduces time by time through the advancement. The decreasing of youth under industrialized countries may reduce crime rate among youngsters, reduction in teenager’s unemployment rate, heavy pension cost and increase in marriage rate as couple can afford burden of it. Migration rate is affected by push given to the people by unsatisfactory conditions at home, by the pull the pull of attractive opportunities elsewhere and by the channels or means through which they are able to migrate.
