How I have used:• During orientation, Jane and Jessica

met John. • When John said hi, Jessica asked Jane

to look at that guy over there.• She said that guy looked good and

cute.• And Jane heard this information.• She looked at John and she had a good

impression on him.• She thought he is handsome and so he

is smart and nice.

How have I used:• Jane and John became friends.• Jane always saw John hanging out with pretty girls.• And that’s when she was motivated to make herself pretty.

SOCIAL LOAFING• Individuals make less of an effort when in a group than they would if they were attempting to achieve the goal on their own

Page 13: Social Psychology Comic

How have I used:• In a group assignment, the professor assigned Jane, John, Jessica and Joe to the same group.• In the group, Jessica did not do anything instead the rest did everything. •Hence, Jessica is a social loafer.

Page 14: Social Psychology Comic

SITUATION ATTRIBUTION• Assuming that the cause of an action is due to external / environmental factors

Page 15: Social Psychology Comic

How I have used:• Results came out, the professor

announced the result. • Their group got average marks.• Jessica was not satisfied with marks. • She blamed on the lecturer for not

giving proper advice• Then, Jane told Jessica that if she had

contributed, they would probably got higher marks.
