We are pleased to invite you to the Na�onal Congress on Osteoarthri�s (OACON2017) which is to

be held in Lucknow, India on the 23�� & 24�� September 2017.

It will be a global forum for those involved in Osteoarthri�s research and treatment including Basic

Scien�sts, Clinical Researchers, Radiologists, Rheumatologists, Orthopaedic Surgeons

Physiotherapists and Psychiatrists. This mee�ng will feature an Interna�onal and Indian selec�on

of expert speakers working on different aspects of OA.

Society for Osteoarthri�s Research (SOAR) was created in 2016, to bring all the researchers in this

field together to encourage research and treatment of Osteoarthri�s. The first mee�ng of SOAR

was held at Lucknow on the 6th of November 2016 and all a�endees signed the Lucknow

Declara�on, pledging to work un�ringly for Osteoarthri�s whether for research, treatment or for

spreading awareness of OA diagnosis and treatment. The first dra� of Indian recommenda�ons

for management of Osteoarthri�s was also discussed.

This is the first Congress being held under the banner of SOAR. Through this Society and

Congress we aim to create awareness of Osteoarthri�s and to bring all the researchers in

India on to one pla�orm. It will be a pla�orm to disseminate knowledge regarding treatment

op�ons for Osteoarthri�s.

a historic city, which is located on the banks of river Gom�. It was considered to be The

Golden City of The East, and has s�ll kept its old world charm absolutely intact, which is an

appealing feature for the tourists. Lucknow's cuisine, also known as Awadhi cuisine has a

unique Nawabi style. The major highlights are biryanis, kebabs nahari-kulchas, roomali ro�s
