4 Release Overview This release of the Experion MX platform software (RAE R700.1 for EPKS R500.1) adds several new features which were not available in the earlier releases.

4.1 New Features This Experion MX R700.1 release enables the following new features:

• Hybrid Display development Support (HMI Based) The Experion MX HMIWeb controls can be used to build specific Experion MX displays as well as to build hybrid displays i.e. displays containing Experion MX HMIWeb controls along with Experion HMI controls. This feature allows building of operator displays for Experion MX in the same way custom displays are built for Experion.

• Web based (Zero Install) display support

QCS web displays are zero install operator displays that can be viewed on a browser. The displays currently support System templates that are based on Zipline CWS template 3001 only. Future releases will provide support for other CWS templates.

For Security Guidelines, refer to the QCS Security Guidelines section in Real-Time Application Environment(RAE) R700.1 for Experion PKS R500.1 Release and Installation Notes, Document # 6510020594.
