Level 1: Uncompromised ChecksAn economical option that provides well above the minimum eight security features required to qualify as “high security checks”. This unique check background design is available in nine colors. The face of the document contains a heat reactive, Thermochromic Icon and the back has a Chemical Wash Warning Box.

Level 2: Uncompromised Plus Checks

Uncompromised Plus has the security features available in the Uncompromised level and also includes an Invisible Fluorescent Logo printed in the signature area of the check. The Plus Check background is unique in design, difficult to copy and available in four colors.

Level 3: Uncompromised Premier ChecksUncompromised Premier is the most robust level in our standard check offering. The Premier level has three layers of check security including Granite/Parchment/Linen, 3-D Secure, Financial Secure and our top of the line check, Hologram Secure.

Artificial Watermark A subdued logo or word printed on paper. Copiers and scanners cannot read these marks .

Chemical Reactive Box Chemical Wash Warning Box on the backer that calls the attention of the check verifier to the color of the check paper.

Chemical Reactive PaperPaper that produces a stain or speckles when activated with ink eradicator-class chemicals, making it extremely difficult to chemically alter a document without detection.

Diagonal Dimensional Backer Different spacing of diagonal lines on check backer to deter alteration.

HologramA multicolored three-dimensional image that appears in a reflective material when viewed at an angle.

Invisible Embedded FibersUltraviolet, light-sensitive fibers in the paper stock that can be seen only under black light (ultraviolet light).

Invisible Fluorescent Logo A logo printed in an invisible fluorescent ink in a designated area on a negotiable document or check that can only be seen when viewed with a black light (ultraviolet light).

Microprint Endorsement LinesPrinted words so small they appear as a solid line.

Padlock Icon Use allowed by Check Payment Systems Association (CPSA) when checks have additional security features incorporated into the design, production or materials.

Thermochromic IconIf you touch or blow on an image printed in this ink, it will disappear, then reappear after it cools. This cannot be replicated on a color copier.

Toner Adhesion A chemical coating that fuses the toner to the sheet thus preventing the removal of toner with tape or by scraping.

True Fourdrinier Watermark A faint design pressed into the paper while it is being manufactured. When held to the light, these watermarks are easily visible from either side of the paper.

Visible Embedded FibersFibers within the paper stock that can be seen with the naked eye.

Warning Band Printed message that calls attention to security features.
