Connections Design Improved the scheme readability
New setting to change the graphical representation of the intersection of the wires in
the scheme (with and or without arc) improving the schema readability.
From the wire radial menu, the graphical representation
can be changed (standard and arc).
The radial commands for the wire are now:
Edit Wire, Indicate Wire data, Wire Numbering,
Delete/Insert Arc, Edit connection, Insert Terminal /
Connector, Navigator.
5/34
Contextual Radial Menu To find and execute commands faster and easier
Radial menus enhanced. The menus are displayed pressing the right button of the mouse when the
cursor is over a scheme element. Associated to almost all SPAC entities.
It is also possible to recall the
last commands used
6/34
Export to File Commands simplification and integration
A unique window is used for all the «export to file» options
including all the parameters and fields required
The fields and they sorting order
can be configured easily.
The option to open the file at the
end of the command and the use
of Unicode format are now a
general setting avoiding the
confirmation at any Saving
process.
7/34
Attributes Graphical Changes Faster and more intuitive
This feature can be executed from the program menu
or directly from the right button of the mouse (radial
menu) placing the cursor over any symbol.
The interface window shows all the block’s attributes
with the graphical features associated. A simple click on
the cell enables the modification.
8/34
Edit Symbols (XS) Even more powerful
The material associated to the symbol with the
command Copy/Paste can be associated to similar
components avoiding to load again the codes.
It is possible to edit simultaneously several material
codes changing the common characteristics (Spare
Part, At Warehouse, etc…)
The visibility of attributes Function1 and Function2
could be modified with a single click enabling or
disabling the lamp sign.
Any graphical change to the block’s attributes can be
done executing the command «Graphical changes»
without leaving the interface window.
9/34
Threads Numbering (1)
Simpler and more efficient
The definition of the thread type was enhanced with the management of the «favorites» and with a
search function.
It is easier to find out the number to
be used and the numbering setting
used.
10/34
Threads Numbering (2)
A better Settings organization
The settings were grouped by their
characteristics and sorted in tabs.
11/34
Threads Numbering (3)
Colors Management
If the selected cable does not have the specified color on the
archive, the color can be selected form a different window making
faster the design.
The color selection is displayed only if necessary.
12/34
Threads Numbering (4)
“Extended Mode” and “Reduced Mode”
It is now possible to work in “Extended Mode” and in
“Reduced Mode”.
On the first case the list of threads type to be used is
always displayed, and can be selected all the codes
or the favorite codes.
«Extended Mode»
«Reduced Mode»
On the second case, the interface window is
simplified and the color and section can be changed
without considering the type.
The simplified window remains open so it is not
necessary to recall the command several times.
13/34
Threads Modification (xs) Aligned with new numbering
When executing XS command from the radial menu (after pressing the right
button of the mouse) selecting a thread or its ID number, all the changes done
using the indications of the previous slide are displayed. The interface window is
then similar to the numbering window.
14/34
Threads Specialization Aligned with new numbering
It is possible to modify the thread’s section in a branch with the same potential.
Even this function was enhanced.
The command could be used saving a lot
of time changing the material to different
thread’s without using the XS command
that acts on one thread at a time.
15/34
Insert Returns Performance improved for Power Feeds and Signals
The interface window is similar to the one of the threads numbering adding on the left-
top the management of the branch of the same signal in different pages, the branch
visibility on the scheme and the type of graphical representation to be used.
16/34
Modify Returns Performance improved
It is possible to manage the visibility of the data associated to branch with a simple click
on the lamp sign.
Given that in this case we are working with a signal that goes to other pages in the
scheme, it is possible to update the modified data only on the selected branch with the
same potential or in all the branches connected.
17/34
Insert Terminals New graphics and new features
On the top-left of the window there is the panel structure with the terminal blocks, it is
possible to create or modify the name ad the description with the mouse’s right button.
On the central section there is the information related to the current graphical
representation and to the management of the connected thread.
On the right side there are the terminal block preview and the levels available in multiple
terminals so they can be used pressing “OK – Use Available Levels” button.
The search feature is enabled
for all the ID fields; it is possible
to set for each column the
sorting of elements (by clicking
on the field title) and some filters
(right button of the mouse on
the field’s title) to avoid the
elements that are not
interesting.
18/34
Insert Connectors New graphics and new features
The Connectors insertion follows the same approach as the Terminals insertion. In this
case the preview illustrates the free Pins and those already used.
19/34
Modify Terminals New Features
Once the interface window is opened it is
possible to:
• Move the Terminal to another Terminal
Block selecting it from the tree-view on
the left upper side
• Modify the number of Terminal
• Change the graphical return symbol
• Customize the fields Usage, Input
Notes, Output Notes
• Change the graphics on the scheme
• Change the material used.
The material change is allowed if the
connection pins are equal.
20/34
Modify Connectors New Features
Once the interface window is opened, it is
possible to:
• Change the graphical symbol of the
return
• Customize the Usage field, Input notes
and Output notes
• Change the graphical symbol on the
scheme for a single Pin
• Move the Pins inside the connector
• Change the Material used on the
Connector
The Material change is allowed if the
connection pins are the same of if the new
connector has a greater number of pins.
21/34
Navigator on Dockable Window Visualize all the components instances
The navigator presents the objects in a Tree-View
organized according to the panels structure on the
facility. For each object, it is displayed the position of
the primary component, its contacts, the
representation on the topographical layout and the
bill of materials.
With a few clicks, it is possible to browse the project
in a logical and fast way.
A Search function is available.
The navigator manages also the all the other entities
composing the scheme, Wires Numbers, I/O,
Terminals, etc.
22/34
On-Line Translation Available if the Global Assistance Contract is Enabled
A web connection was developed to facilitate the
translations, allowing the on-line translation of the
phrase or word inserted.
The new feature was inserted in the phrases creation
and modification phase with a dedicated command to
change the translator’s blocks and the texts on the
scheme.
In case of a new phrase, once the original language is
indicated, clicking on “New” it is obtained the translation
to the corresponding language.
Selecting a translator symbol o a text on
the scheme, it is possible to get directly
the translation on-line to the desired
language.
23/34
Memorize Sheets (or a part of it)
The command evolution provides now and extended visualization of the list of pages memorized in a
Tree-View to simplify the organization and research of pages according to their classification.
The command is now available with a mouse right-button click to search easily pages saved
previously.
24/34
Memorized Sheets Insertion
The command was enhanced with two features that makes it more efficient:
• There could be more than one part of a scheme saved on each sheet.
• Each part of the scheme can be inserted with a variable insertion point to allow the composition
of the page.
25/34
Contemporary Session of SPAC
SPAC Automazione works even if it is launched several times in the same Personal Computer.
In this condition the feature Copy-Paste (^C ^V) consents to work in two different Job Orders avoiding
the issues related to the element’s location layer. This guarantees the complete compatibility with the
SPAC Multi-Sheet management.
Possibility to use Copy-Paste
26/34
Dynamic PDF Document for an easy and fast scheme consulting
With the automatic printing command it is possible to make a PDF file that could be
browsed easily given that it contains the connections between the wires and
components returns
The PDF file created contains all the dynamic connections between the cross references present on the
scheme. A specific option consents the visualization of the materials associated to the components.
It is also available the lateral navigation according to the following criteria:
• Sequential list of the sheets divided by Multi-Sheet
• Sequential list of the sheets
• List of components sorted by panel
• Sequential list of the components 27/34

P&ID and Electrical Scheme (1)
Interface and Data Exchange
Sul disegno P&ID sono presenti componenti (valvole,
apparecchiature e strumenti) che necessitano di
essere riportati sullo schema elettrico funzionale in
quanto utenze elettriche.
I componenti che devono comparire sullo
schema elettrico vengono migrati in SPAC
che li presenta organizzati in una struttura
ad albero suddivisi per tipologia
(Apparecchiature, Pompe/Motori,
Valvole…).
Tramite un database di conversione
grafica
è possibile trascinare sullo schema
elettrico le apparecchiature direttamente
con il simbolo corretto e con tutte le
informazioni provenienti dallo schema di
processo (sigla, descrizione, materiale…)
32/34
P&ID and Electrical Scheme (2)
Interface and Data Exchange
Un sistema di notifica BIDIREZIONALE
permette all’operatore di tenere sotto
controllo le modifiche effettuate nel
P&ID o in SPAC in modo da garantire
l’automatico riallineamento delle
