What is meant by electronic design automation ?Electronic design automation (EDA or ECAD) is a category of software tools for designing electronic systems such as printed circuit boards and integrated circuits. The tools work together in a design flow that chip designers use to design and analyze entire semiconductor chips.What is the significance of electronic design automation ?Todays semiconductors and electronic systems are complex that designing them would be impossible without electronic design automation (EDA). Imagine an Intel based micro processor having 1.5 million transistors. Would it be feasible to design such a complex system with help of truth table and K-maps? . Obviously impossible !!!Hence in order to cater to the needs and demands
