How it works

A Solar Pool Heating System is

simple in its operations.Water

is pumped from the spa or

swimming pool through a multi

tube solar collector, which is

mounted on your roof and then

pumped back to the pool. the

solar energy collected by the

absorber is transfered to the

water during its journey. As the

water passes through the solar

collector it is warmed by the

sun and the heated water

returned to the pool.

The Solar Panel Rolls are packed single boxes

containing about 5.43 m2 made of

EPDM(Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer)

For an average size pool (32-35 square

metres) will need 5 cartons of the Poseidon

Calculate How Many Rolls Of Solar Panels

You Will Require:

- Measure your pool i.e. 8m in length x 4m in

width = Pool area 32 m2

- Recommended minimum pool coverage is

70% = 22.4 m2

- Each Solar Panel carton contains 1 x roll =5

m2 Therefore you require 5 rolls to cover a 32

m2 pool (70% =22.4m)

- Ideally Solar Panels should face in a

Northerly or North/West position.

- Direct sunlight for a minimum of 6 hours

every day.

- Larger systems can compensate non ideal

installations.

- Each carton contains 1 x roll: 33.24m (L) x

163mm (W) = 5.43 Square meters coverage


2. Header Kit

One Solar Header Kit is sufficient for most installations. If a larger system is installed you may require additional headers.
