Gas lift fl ow control valves are available in both in line and angle body confi gurations with fl ange, threaded or weld connections.
With a range of trim sizes and materials these valves use a profi led plug moving into a seat to vary fl ow area and provide fi ne control.
Flow control valves have become the valve of choice in many gas lift installations.

Plug and Cage TrimPlug moves inside a ported fl ow cage.This design maximises fl ow capacity for a cage trim choke.
Flow is directed into the trim via ports and impinges in the centre of the fl ow cage. The plug is fully guided by the fl ow cage and balance chamber.
The fl ow cage is supported both at the top by the body and bonnet and also in the outlet of the valve thereby providing a very robust trim design.
Tungsten carbide seat, fl ow cage and plug base enhance the erosion resistance of this robust trim.
Control Choke TrimIn Line Valve Control Chokes use 4x4 trim design.Flow is directed through sets of 4 ports into the centre of the fl ow cage, where it impinges onto itself.4 ports in the lower section provide fi ne control at low openings, whilst 4 larger ports provide capacity for higher fl ows.

Multistage TrimsSevere service fl ow control may require for pressure to be dropped over a number of stages thereby dissipating energy, controlling noise generation or eliminating cavitation.
In Line Valve provide control valves and chokes that use either ‘disc stack’ type trims such as this model ED trim, or ‘concentric cage’ type trims such as this model CC trim.
CC trims are available with 2, 3 or 4 stages of pressure reduction via multiple channels and fl ow cages.
ED trims are generally used in applications requiring large numbers of pressure reduction stages such as water dumping and high pressure gas production.
Multistage Trims
External Sleeve TrimFlow control sleeve moves outside a ported fl ow cage.This design maximises erosion resistance of a cage trim choke.
Flow is directed into the trim via ports and impinges in the centre of the fl ow cage. The fl ow sleeve is guided by the fl ow cage and balance chamber.
The controlling element (fl ow sleeve) moves in a lower fl ow velocity regime and leads to the high wear resistance of this design of trim.
Tungsten carbide seat, fl ow cage and fl ow sleeve liner enhance the erosion resistance of this trim.
External Sleeve Control Choke 3” to 6”
AutomationThese chokes may be supplied with a range of electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuation in direct or angle mounting, existing chokes may be retrofi tted for remote operation.Controls are available via analogue or digital positioners.

Actuators may be mounted in line with the valve stem or at an angle to the valve stem, which allows for mounting within a restricted space and for disassembly of the valve bonnet and internals whilst the actuator is still mounted to the valve body.
