• All of these sites have their issues:– COS01

• Beyond all known glacial advances• Likely served as an outwash surface during

most glaciations (At?, Sag? Itkil?)• Our sampling transects a thick organic

horizon and enters light grey silts with thin segregation ice horizons.

• My guess is that we sampled a stable, low slope surface down to a loess deposit of unknown age. The organics are mixed as blebs into the upper silt, suggesting cryoturbation at that interface.
