P & C News

The P & C will be holding an online meeting at the end of the month. Anyone

interested in joining the meeting is encouraged to contact the office to register

your interest so the online meeting link can be made available to you. The date

will be Monday the 29th June 2020 at 7PM.

Uniforms

Uniforms remain available for purchase online. Payments can be made via the

P&C bank account on the order form or by cash payment. Uniforms will be given

to students at school to bring home. Skorts have been ordered and we are

expecting school polo shirts to also be available soon for those who are waiting

on them. We will let you know as soon as these items arrive.

“Fluoro and Fit” Mufti Tennis Day

Last term we applied for a grant from the Australian Sports Commission to run our annual Term 2 tennis program. We have just been advised that our application was successful however, due to the COVID-19 restrictions the amount of our grant and the method of delivery will be modified.

On Friday 3 July, 2020 we will be running a “Fluoro and Fit” Tennis Day, which will also be a Year 6 fundraiser. Students will participate in tennis round robin games, tennis skills and fun fitness activities. The day will be mufti and students are encouraged to come to school in something fluoro or something to do with fitness, or both!

As we will be active on the day, suitable clothing and footwear should be worn. A gold coin donation would be appreciated on the day to assist Year 6 with their fundraising efforts.

Spotlight on 5/6

Last week 5/6 enjoyed an art lesson taught by teacher Lucy. See the back page for

Lucy’s lesson.

Charcoal Art

In my previous years of school. I was taught charcoal

art. During an afternoon, I was able to teach 5/6

different techniques of Charcoal like the swivel, the roll,

dotting, smudge and then I taught the class how to

combine all of the techniques together to make a

picture. It was so much fun and by the looks of it I think

5/6 had a great time too!
