Grimethorpe Colliery Band Parr Hall

Probably the world’s most famous colliery band with an international reputation for excellence on both the concert and contest stage, Grimethorpe Colliery Band have been featured on film, TV and radio in addition to providing the BAFTA winning soundtrack for international film hit Brassed Off, starring Ewan McGregor.

This hilarious comic drama is based on a true story, starring Paul Duckworth (Hollyoaks, Backbeat) as a Liverpool fan who watched the 2005 European Cup Final sitting next to Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi.
