NEUTRIK A-Series / B-SeriesThe following 3-pole A-Series version (plastic) was designed by NEUTRIK with the aim to place as many installation connectors as possible in a very tiny space. They are mounted from the inside and with self-tapping screws. The B-Series is the metal version. There are different versions available with the option of a PCB mounting, please read the information below concerning the connection possibilities.Important: The A- / B-Series comply with the industry standard, e.g. for use in mixing consoles, DI boxes and the likes. They will not fit onto conventional patch panels with universal holes (D-Series).

The POWERCON connector by Neutrik is a reliable and easy-locking connector with a power handling of 250 V and 20 A or 32 A resp. VDE Reg.

No. 6360. As touch guard for the panel sockets, we recommend the SCDR protective cap.

Proven and very robust 4- to 8-pole loudspeaker connectors with bayonet lock. Plug and socket are shock-proof insulated according to IEC65/348. The plug is connected via screw terminals.

We recommend using wire end ferrules see following pages. A new product is the water-proof NLT version with IP67 protection class.

The EtherCon by Neutrik offers optimal protection due to its robust XLR design housing. Perfect for the mobile use of network and media technologies. As of now also available for DIY assembly including RJ45 connector. The panel socket has a special locking A or D shape housing. The housing of the NE8MC is simply fastened around a premade RJ45 patch cable. The NE8MC1 has been designed for the direct mounting to the LAN cable while at the same time finishing the RJ45 connector. The panel sockets are available each as patch version, print version, with standard clamping/cutting technology or in CAT.6 standard (IP65)

for data rates of up to 10 GBit. The cable plug is supplied with a black cap and black colour grommet. Panel socket with hard nickel or ruthenium coating, 4 loser contacts and 1 LC-Duplex

The chassis panel plug with its D shape housing serves as a feed-through, which

guarantees an easy installation by simply inserting two or four conventional LC plugs

on the rear side. The panel plug is equipped with an auto-driven protective cap with

a silicone gasket to protect the unused fibre optic from dirt and dust and also has

the proven push-pull locking mechanism for safe connections. Coloured gaskets for

As of now HICON will supply a new, super robust plug housing and the matching panel socket for all RJ45 connectors (CAT.5e, CAT.6a). The housing and closing cap are made of metal, the connector has a reliable strain relief and can take up to AWG22. The robust sleeve support can be fitted with colour code rings.

Of course we will supply these connectors also in finished versions with the corresponding rugged SOMMER CABLE CAT lines.

Via the socket you can also link the HICON HI-FIBER system with a max. of four conventional LC cables (or else two LC-Duplex lines) and

connect it to existing LC systems simply plug in LC and youre done!

The HICON HI-FIBER4-MC cable plug can be fitted with up to four LC connectors which are assembled and pushed into the quad fixture after inserting the cable. The protective cap and a spring-loaded protection sleeve will save the sensitive fibre system from dirt and damages.

Greeted with much applause was the new finishing system where jack plug connectors designed by HICON can be mounted solder-free, gas-free and almost with no appreciable contact resistances and then fixed by a double hexagonal crimping! With unbelievable 230 Newtons the strain relief forces of this cable/plug combination are far and away superior to other cable connections.

R&D team has also done a great job when it comes to optical fibres: The brandnew HICON HI-FIBER connector fits on all common fibre optical cables. With some practice and our toolbox you can even carry out a repair yourself on site in case of average.

Our road-proof HICON HI-FIBER connection system is based on four optical LC fibre optical lines which are protected by a robust, compact metal housing technology. It consists of a cable plug and a panel socket in the compact D-shape format, which can also be used as a universal cable extension coupling (cascading).

The strain relief force is roughly twice that of conventional systems and it also goes with a cable-saving effect!

Even with large cable gauges the force of the chuck jaws is spread over a greater surface, whereas in other products the soft PVC of the microphone cables is often squeezed out on the side.

The TOSLINK connector was developed in 1983 by the Toshiba company (TOShiba-LINK).

This is a connection standard for optical signal transmissions with up to 20 Mbit/s which is used today for the connection digital audio signals in the studio and home sector, e.g. for linking BluRay, DVD, CD players or game consoles with home cinema/dts receivers or with ADAT systems in the studio.

The 3.5 mm mini plug is another FOC connector variant in the 3.5 mm mini jack format which allows e.g. to tap multi-channel home cinema signals on certain devices (such as notebooks).

Snow falls softly at night...The longer the HDMI transmission lines are, the greater the attenuation losses will be, eventually leading to a complete signal dropout. In the threshold range the picture gets more and more wintery with snow sleet, a so-called image noise occurs. The repeater provides a signal gain over a total distance of 45 m. With such long distances we recommend an HDMI cable cross-section of AWG 24. The input distance may be as long as 40 m at the output another 5 m may be connected. We point to the fact that the max. transmission distance depends on the quality of cable and workmanship and also on the signal transmission of the peripheral equipment.Optionally a 5 V power supply may be connected.

The 4-pole Hosiden connectors, better known as S-VHS, are produced by HICON in a good standard quality and also in a top-class high-end version with real gold-plated contacts and PTFE insulation to ensure ultra low contact resistance values.

The 6-pole and 8-pole Hosiden connectors are available as panel-mount patch sockets.

The 6-pole type is used for connecting a computer mouse or a keyboard, the 8-pole type for connecting RS485 interfaces, TFTs and camcorders.

The BNC connector (Bayonet Neill Concelman) is one of the best known coaxial plug types and was invented in the late 1940s. It is available with a wave impedance of either 50 or 75 and is mainly used in radio and video technology, medical engineering and computer technology. Our connectors meet the specifications according to IEC 169-8, MIL-C-39012.

The upper limiting frequency of the 50 BNC version is 4 GHz. The 75 standard BNC connectors are suitable for 1 GHz and the HDTV version for 1.5 GHz applications.

What does 0.6/3.7 mean?The figure 3.7 indicates the diameter of the wire insulation, the 0.6 refers to the copper wire diameter. But watch out! Diameter is not equivalent to wire cross-section! When using a flexible cable with Cu litz wires, make sure the wire cross-section correlates with a diameter of 0.6 mm! (Formula: = ((4 cross-section): )
