Title: P21 – EDI Import Process

Overview / Purpose: EDI Import process is a part of P21 that imports orders into P21 from server ARSAPRBB (B2B Jag Server).On Server ARSAPRBB (10.246.130.11), there are Polling folders that P21 checks for files to be imported into P21 (ARBSQL01).

Production Server IMPORT (10.180.205.88) checks folder ARSAPRBB\Polling\ActiveTest Server ARBIMPORT02 (10.180.205.89) checks folder ARSAPRBB\Polling_Test

NOTE: Both Import servers are always logged on from the console for the process to run.

Responsibility: Vice President, Operations is responsible for administering this process.

Procedure: - Import Servers should be check daily from the console to confirm the import process is running.

STEPS 1 - 3 – Check Import ProcessSTEPS 4 – 9 - Restart Import Process

Step Action

1 – Check Import Process

Logon to VCenter001 (10.180.205.40) and open the console for the IMPORT server.

2 IMPORT is logged in as Domain AdministratorARBIMPORT02 is logged in as B2BSeller – Password p21Adm1n

3 You should see activity scrolling on the P21 Import Screen as shown below: If there are pop up error messages regarding SQL or if the paths to ARSAPRBB cannot be found – The process must be stopped and restarted. These steps are outlined starting with step #4.

4 –Starting Import Process

Login to server as Domain Administrator (arbill.com\Administrator\Arb$7834#) on console session using NetEnrich VNC client or through vCenter on 10.180.205.40.

5 Bring up Windows explorer and try to access \\ARSAPRBB\TPCX . If prompted for authentication, use the administrator account for ARSAPRBB (Administrator / C@1a$tR0ph3 ) or see the access document for the current password. This step is required after a reboot of the import server.

6 Launch Epicor Prophet 21 icon

7 Login P21 as:a. edi – password ‘orders’ on IMPORTb. admin – password ‘managerarb’ on IMPORT02

8 Expand Import and double click ‘Scheduled Import Service Manager’ to open the manager. Click Start.

9 Click Start and messages will start to appear for importing EDI processes. Do not worry about the messages indicating path does not exist.

10 DO NOT LOG OUT OF THE IMPORT SERVERS – THEY NEED TO REMAIN LOGGED IN OR THE IMPORT PROCESS WILL STOP.
