Page 1: Sorority Row Poster Analysis - RESEARCH & PLANNING

This image of the main cast members which is laid to show how close they are to each other, hence how they call each other sisters.

The title of the film ‘Sorority Row’ is underlined by a slash of red which connotes a slash of blood which represents a typical horror genre.

Image of the burning house in the background gives connotations of their lives burning away, which shows they are all victims.

The poster is also dark at the bottom and light at the top, I feel that the fire represents hell, and it would be where they are going because of their past.

The slogan ‘THEY SHARE A KILLER SECRET.’ Is simple yet it gets across to the audience telling them a part of the storyline within one shore sentence.

The plain black background relates to the genre horror as the typical colour conventions of a horror film include the colour black.

Tells the audience the release month, and also has a website where the audience can research into the film more. Using these on my practical work would look better ideologically.

Directors and cast members shown at the bottom of the poster which would also make my poster look presentable in terms of ideology.
