PACK lightlyYou should have your products for sampling and the products you’ll display. (Organize your other products so that you can get to them easily; but leave them in the trunk of your car.)

IMPORTANT: Pack in the reverse order of how you will take things out to create your display. Always replenish and repack your items so that you’re always ready for the next event.

Remember, you are always being observed. The easier and stress-free you are during an event, the more likely someone will think, “I can do that!”

Set-Up A key to a fast, easy set up is to set up your display at home and take a picture. When you’re setting up for a party, just refer to the picture.

Take A Breath Use the restroom, get a drink of water, take one last look around start music, light candles, and be ready to greet the guests with the host.

Arrive at least 45 - 60 minutes early to prepare for your event.

When you arrive to the home of your hosts spend a few minutes chatting with her and helping her to feel comfortable with the upcoming party.

Do a review of her product wish list in order to get an idea of the things she’d like to have. This will increase her enthusiasm and energy.

Remind your host about the free Host gifts and Host Only Product specials.

Identify the area in the home where the Lifestyle Party will occur and ensure that there is a lot of clutter free counter space.

Ideally you want to create a relaxing yet fun environment with different zones for different product experiences.

Put on some fun upbeat music to perk up your mood and get you into a fun state of mind while you do the set up and preparation.

Light a few candles to set the mood and create a fragrant atmosphere. You have a few options here; I would suggest using some inexpensive odorless candles for mood lighting and then one of your favorite Soul Purpose candles in the central area for its fragrance.

Consider only light refreshments for your guests. Remember not go overboard with the food because it may deter others from offering to host a future party due to the cost factor of having to provide a lot of food and not being able to duplicate what they experienced at this party.

Prepare your coffee maker, boil water for tea and ensure that you have all of the needed condiments needed for serving your guests. You want to avoid having to leave your event once it has begun to run out for cream or sugar.

Here are a few suggestions to choose from: Tea, coffee, cookies or sliced coffee cake, and a fruit or vegetable tray. In the summer months you may consider some iced tea or fruit drinks and chilled fruit. The food should be placed in its own zone with small paper plates and napkins so people can serve themselves and keep circulating. Remember use small snack size plates and cups.

A large dining or coffee table is perfect for doing your product display.

Tip: Practice laying out your product display at home on your own table; when you have an arrangement that you’re comfortable with take a picture of it and carry it with you so you can use it as your guide. This will save considerable time!!!!

Consider displaying your products in zones as well. For example a Loving Hands zone where they can sample the hand care products. The Loving Hands products also work well in the guest bathroom so people can try it when they go to the bathroom. Place a framed note card with directions for giving themselves a mini hand treatment.

A zone for Pampered Happy feet is a great idea. A comfortable chair with a warm bubbly foot spa is a perfect treat for a few early, fortunate guests.

Setting up for your Lifestyle Party should be easy and stress free. A lifestyle party should be a

wonderful experience where your guests can experience the “Journey of the Senses” fragrance collection

and the Soul Purpose product line. We also intend for it to be a positive experience where they may be

able to explore the idea and question of “what is their Soul Purpose?” Here are a few tips for making it

fun and stress free for you, your host and your guests.

...continuedA wellness Zone may be a good idea to display all of your wellness products and energy drinks. Include a display of the... Tru Chocolate wafers and drink. Crumble up a few wafers in tiny pieces so guests can taste it. Have a pitcher of water and paper cups to go along with the chocolate. Have some preprinted Tru Chocolate and any other pertinent literature so guests can read and educate themselves about the benefits of the products. Feel free to share testimonies or your personal experience with the wellness products but please avoid prescribing anything to your customers. They can read the literature and then make their own informed decision about what is best for them and what they would like to try.

A mineral makeup zone. A simple display of the products with lots of paper towels and clean disposable brushes can make for fun easy makeovers for interested guests. You can purchase disposable makeup brushes and tools at a Dollar Store and Suzanne Somers at Youngevity also has small mirrors and disposable head bands etc.

An exfoliation zone is another great idea. A display of all of the body polishes, scrubs, and hand polishes make for a wonderful experience. They can smell and sample and finish off with the matching balms or custards. This can be luxurious and can really boost the sales of these products.

Gift Zone: A beautiful display of your favorite assortment of gifts can be very intriguing. A framed list of gift occasion and suggestions can help to remind your guests of upcoming occasions for which they may need a gift. For example birthdays, graduations, showers, anniversaries etc.

Tip: If your host has limited space ask her if she has some old TV trays or TV guest tables. Those or perfect for little zones and you can put them in interesting corners in the home. If you are blessed with a large car trunk and have a set of TV tables yourself, put them in your car and you can have quick and easy spaces for set up.

Once you have completed the product display and setting up the experience zones put on some fun yet light music but turned down low so it does not interrupt conversation but sets a fun mood for your guests. . I personally love Will Downing, Luther Vandross, Jill Scott, and Unwrapped by Hidden Beach or some old Etta James CDs.

Five minutes before your guests arrive do not forget the obvious: Use the bathroom; brush your hair; freshen your lip gloss; make sure your hands, elbows and legs are glowing with your favorite custard or body balm; turn on the coffee pot, boil the water, take the covers of the cookies or fruit, light your favorite candle. Take a minute to tell your host how much you appreciate all she has done to make the event a success and no matter what happens or how many people come it is already a success. Have a great time and a good attitude!

Have your presentation notes ready and close by.

Oh! One more thing! Call home and make sure that everything is fine and let them know that your party is about to begin and you need 90 minutes of uninterrupted time. Nothing is more un-settling than phone calls from during a presentation.

Remember to turn the music down once you begin your presentation; you do not want to be competing with background noise and music for the attention of your guests.

At the end of your presentation please be sure to have some product brochures on hand for your guests.

Money saving tip: put some brochures in 3 ring binders and pass them around with order forms attached for ordering. Have 1 binder or clip board with a brochure, order form and pen for each expected guest. This will save you some money from just giving away brochures; this also motivates people to order when they have a package with tools to make that process easy for them.
