Sound and setting

• Diegetic and non-diegetic sound can help create information concerning the different settings that are evident within a film

• Contemporary or past time• The diegetic sound of wind in leaves, for example,

coupled with a soundtrack of haunting strings, could effectively generate a sense of potential danger of a place
