WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this product is to provide a means of accessing the database of a Hotel Associate reservation system for up-to-the-minute property availability and rate rules.

1. General

The hotel chain must be established in WORLDSPAN as an AccessPlus associate in order to participate in Hotel Source.

When specific availability and rate rules are requested for a property which is part of a chain participating in Hotel Source, the request will be sent across an AccessPlus link either directly to the chain or via a third party switching company. The resulting availability and rules information will be returned from the HRS rather than retrieved from the WORLDSPAN internal database. However, when the link is unavailable, the displays will be compiled and displayed from the information stored in the WORLDSPAN database.

2. Hotel List

Hotel Source participants will be identified in a List display with an end item (‡ or #, depending on the equipment used) preceding the chain code. This indicator will appear in place of the dollar sign ($) AccessPlus indicator.

Example:

LN CO PROPERTY NAME ADDRESS DD 001 ‡ZZ DOWNTOWN PLAZA HOTE KANSAS CITY MISSOURI 20S 002 $VV LAKESIDE DRIVE PLATTE CITY MISSOURI 20N >

3. Specific Availability

a. Entries

There will be no new specific availability (HA) entries for Hotel Source . Any request for specific availability for a Hotel Source participant will attempt to cross the AccessPlus link. The user may only view an in-house (database) display once a link attempt has failed.

Hotel Source availability may only be requested for a property which is in the WORLDSPAN database. This includes any locked and inactive properties as well.

A redisplay (HA*) will not attempt to cross the link again but will instead return a display based on the last specific availability response received. There is no time limit on the availability display. The sell will cross the link again and the availability and rate will be verified by the associate at that point. A user may sell from the Hotel Source availability display as long as it is retained in their AAA. If a subsequent, or ‘abbreviated’ availability entry (HA/) is made from a Hotel Source specific availability display, the request will be sent across the link . This entry enables the booking agent to change the parameters in the initial entry.

Once a specific availability defaults to the internal WORLDSPAN database for a Hotel Source participant, any subsequent (HA/) entry will not be sent across the link, and the availability display will be non-SOURCE.

b. Optional Parameters

The Vendor Control Record in the WORLDSPAN database may be used to customize the acceptance of optional parameters by the associate. The following specific availability optional parameters will be handled as follows:

a. Up to 8 plan codes may be specified in the /PC- field of an availability request. These ‘plan codes’ are used to access SecuRates. Before any plan code(s) is sent to the associate in the Hotel Source availability request, WORLDSPAN will first check the RAST (Rate Access Security Table) associated to that plan code. If the booking agent is authorized the plan code(s) will be sent in the availability request.

Page 1

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

A corporate ID may also be associated to a plan code. An associate has the option of receiving one of the following in the sell request:

only the plan code(s) e.g. /PC-8MM the plan code(s) and the associated corporate ID(s) e.g. /PC-3MM/CD-12345 just the corporate ID(s) e.g. /CD-12345

If the hotel associate is set up to receive both the plan code(s) and the associated corporate ID(s), only the plan code will be sent if there are no associated corporate ID(s).

Since there may be up to eight plan codes in a single request, there may also be eight corporate IDs by association. In addition, the booking agent may enter a corporate ID manually in the /CD- which could bring the total number of corporate IDs in an availability request to a maximum of nine.

If the booking agent is not found in the associated RAST for any one of the plan codes, neither the plan code nor the associated corporate ID will be sent in the availability request.

c. The WORLDSPAN SOURCE vendor control record can be adjusted if any of the following fields are not used by the hotel associate as an availability search parameter:

Manual Corporate ID (/CD-) Frequent Guest ID (/FG-) Airline Frequent Traveler ID (/FT-) Inclusive Tour (/IT-) Bedding Type (/B-) Room Location (/RL-) Exact Match (/EM) Maximum Rate (/MR-) Rate Plan (/P-) Plan Codes (/PC-) Number of Children (/NCH-) Total Occupants (/TOC-)

If the associate will not apply the field to the availability search, but the field will be valid at the time a sell is made, the vendor control record can be set accordingly. The booking agent will be able to input the field in the availability entry, however, it will not be sent to the associate. WORLDSPAN will then carry it over to the subsequent sell.

If the field(s) is not accepted by the associate in either a sell entry or an availability , the WORLDSPAN vendor control record can be adjusted accordingly and the booking agent will be made aware of this in the following manner:

*AP /EM NOT SUPPORTED FOR VV*AP CORRECT FIELD AND RE-ENTER

Then, there is no question in the agent’s mind about how this field is handled. The agent will need to remove the field(s) from their request before they can continue. Here is an example of what occurs when multiple fields are not ‘supported’.

Example:

Entry: HA3/MR-75/B-K-Q/EM

Response: *AP /MR- NOT SUPPORTED*AP /EM NOT SUPPORTED

Page 2

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

d. The currency (/CUR to associate or /E on agent input) option will be valid with an availability request. However, the only condition under which the currency field (/CUR) will be sent in an availability request is if the maximum rate (/MXR-) optional field is included also.. The /CUR field is sent only for the purpose of defining the rate that the associate receives in the /MXR field

e. The option HA/MORE may be input by the booking agent as a continuation entry (HA/) to request additional rates. This is typically used when the hotel associate is able to provide WORLDSPAN an excess of a 4K block of data.

The way this will work internally is the associate will pass WORLDSPAN a /MOR slash data field in the initial availability response with a room type or booking code in it. When WORLDSPAN receives that code we are then aware that there is more availability data for this request. At the bottom of the availability display to the screen the booking agent will be given a prompt >HA/MORE(. If the agent tabs to the prompt and enters, WORLDSPAN will send another request across the link, WITH the /MORbooking code or /MORroom type. This will enable the hotel associate to identify the last rate passed in the previous availability response, and where to start from in the subsequent response.

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

Notes:

a. The number of rooms shipped in the /NRM field of the request will default to 1 unless the user has specified a number in the /N field of the entry.

b. The /MOR field would be used to request additional rates that could not fit within the previous availability response from the hotel associate. This field will only be used in a secondary availability request for the same property and parameters.

WSPN will echo back to the hotel associate the data that was sent in the /MOR field in the previous availability response and should identify the end of the last block of data.

c. Up to five 1-character rate plan codes may be sent in the /LVL field of the request message. If rate plans are not specified in the entry, then the /LVL field will not be sent and all rate levels should be returned. These are the rate plans from which the booking agents can make their selection:

GEN (A) – RACK GENERALSEC (N) – SECURATECOR (C) – CORPORATEPRO (P) – PROMOTIONALGVT (G) – GOVERNMENTSNR (S) – SENIOR CITIZENTVL (I) – TRAVEL AGENT RATESTUR (T) – TOUR¬PKG (K) – PACKAGECNV (V) – CONVENTION¬MIL (M) – MILITARYWKD (W) – WEEKEND¬NET (X) – NET RATE (CANNOT be combined with any other rate plans)

d. Plan codes will be placed in the /PC1, /PC2 etc. up to a maximum of 8 occurrences. The /PC fields in the request message will be sent in the order in which they were input. A plan code(s) for which the booking agent is not ‘valid’ will still occupy a place in the request message, e.g. Eight plan codes are input but the agent does not qualify for the 2nd plan code. The 1st ,3rd and 4th through 8th plan codes input will be sent in the request message: /PC1 and /PC3/PC4/PC5/PC6/PC7/PC8.

Note: The plan code field cannot be combined with ‘X’ rate plan.

e. Corporate IDs associated to the plan codes will be sent in the corresponding /CD1, /CD2 etc. up to a maximum of 8 occurrences. In other words, /PC1 can have an associated CD number which would be sent in the /CD1 field. e.g. five plan codes are input but the user does not qualify for the 2 nd plan code or there is no corporate ID for the 2nd plan code. The corporate IDs associated to the 1 st, 3rd, 4th and 5th plan codes input will be sent in the /CD1, /CD3, /CD4 and /CD5 fields of the request message.

f. A 1 or 2 character number of beds and bedding type code may be input by the user in the /B- field e.g. /B-2D. When input the bedding type(s), up to a maximum of 2, will be sent in the /BT1 or /BT2 fields of the request message. If the associate can search on one bed type the /BT1 field will be ‘on’ in the vendor control record and /BT2 will be ‘off’. If a bed type is input without a number of beds indicated, then a blank will be sent in the number position e.g. /BT1(space) D.

g. The /CUR field will be shipped only when the /MXR field is used. The currency code will default to the the WORLDSPAN A.I.R. Table for that agent AAA (using the code appearing in the CAR CURRENCY field) unless the user specifies a currency code in the /E field of their input request).

h. A maximum rate request will be sent in the /MXR field of the request message. Only whole amounts will be sent, i.e. $100.00 will be sent as 100. Decimals and decimal places will not be sent.

i. An exact match request will be sent as /EMA in the request message without any data following. When the /EMA field is sent, only those rates that qualify for the combined optional fields of /BT1 (and/or /BT2), /RML, /AMN and /MXR should be returned.

Without the /EMA field, rates that qualify for at least one of these options may be returned.

Notes:

a. Worldspan supports multiple 4K blocks.

b. All fields must be shipped in the order in which they appear and may only be sent once unless specified otherwise.

c. Indicated required fields are for "good" (/RSPAVLVER) and "warning" (/RSPAVLWAR) responses. Error responses (/RSPAVLERR) require only /ERN and/or /ERT, or /AVL following the response type (/RSP).

d. All the information preceding the response type (/RSP) needs to be echoed back to WORLDSPAN from the availability request.

e. The /BKC field may occur multiple times. The number of occurrences is determined by the size of the complete message and whether it will fit within the 3,600 character block limitation. The /BKC is equal to the /RMT for sells from SOURCE. The /RMT will not be sent in an availability request nor should it be sent in an availability response or a SOURCE sell response. /RMT is still valid for other transactions.

f. The /RTE and /RMD fields are required with each /BKC occurrence. The /RD1 and /RD2 fields are optional and may each occur only once per /BKC occurrence.

g. Up to 4 rate indicators may be returned in the /IND field. If more than 4 are returned, only the first 4 will be applied to the display and the rest will be truncated or ignored. Indicators G and D may not be returned in the same /IND field.

h. One of the following may occur only once per /BKC occurrence: /CID, /FRT, /FRG, /ITN. When required in order to confirm the rate at time of booking, the appropriate /CID, /FRT, /FRG or /ITN field must be returned with that /BKC in the availability response message.

For example, if a SecuRate is being returned in the availability response and the user will be required to include a corporate ID number in the sell request in order to confirm that rate, then the /CID field with the appropriate corporate ID should be returned with the SecuRate booking code.

i. The /MOR field would be used to indicate that there are additional rates that could not be fit within the availability response. The data returned by the hotel associate in this field should be meaningful to them in identifying where to begin in the next block of data because this data may be passed back to the associate if a request is made to see the additional rates.

j. If the /CUR field contains a currency code which is a decimal currency, the rates must have a decimal position indicated by a period (.). WORLDSPAN supports up to 2 decimal places.

If an Availability response contains a /CUR field it will be applied to the booking codes unless the /RCU accompanies the booking code. So, by default the /CUR will apply to each booking code unless it is overridden by the presence of a /RCU.

k. The /ERT and /AVL fields will require a carriage return at least every 64 characters. The associate is responsible for sending the carriage return as needed.

l. The following special characters will be accepted by WORLDSPAN within freeform text fields: asterisk (*), dollar sign ($), dash (-), period (.) and a space.

m. The field will have a fixed format where nn = number of days, hours, or time. H = number of hours prior to arrival by which the reservation must be cancelled to avoid penalties. D = number of days prior to arrival by which the reservation must be cancelled. A = AM time by which the reservation must be cancelled. P = PM time by which the reservation must be cancelled. Leading zero is optional. The code 99Z indicates to the user that the cancellation policy is too complex to be identified by a code and they should refer to rate rules. If the first line of room description exceeds 43 characters, and the 44th character is not a blank, to prevent splitting a word WORLDSPAN will backup to the first blank character. This character might be blank or a non character such as a dash (-).

n. A 1-character standard rate plan code may be sent in the /LVL field of the hotel source availability response message. (The user might not specify any rate plans in the request. That does not preclude the rate plan from being returned in the response, and in fact, it is the preferred method of processing.) At this time the HA|P- response is the only availability screen which will reflect a rate plan or SecuRate plan code.

Rate plans are as follows:

GEN (A) – RACK GENERAL

SEC (N) – SECURATE ***

COR (C) – CORPORATEPRO (P) – PROMOTIONALGVT (G) – GOVERNMENTSNR (S) – SENIOR CITIZENTVL (I) – TRAVEL AGENT RATESTUR (T) – TOUR¬PKG (K) – PACKAGECNV (V) – CONVENTION¬MIL (M) – MILITARYWKD (W) – WEEKEND¬NET (X) – NET RATES (CANNOT be combined with any other rate plans)

* Not an independent field! If returned it should always be sent with a /SPC field.

Page 7

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

** Preferred to accompany a /BKC field that has a SecuRate (/SPCxxx field).

o. A 1-10 alpha/numeric field. The SecuRate plan code is currently a three character alpha/numeric in Worldspan and preferrably will be the code that is returned in the availability response. (The maximum of 10 characters is for expansion.) For example, if the SecuRate plan code sent from Worldspan in the availability request is IBM, then it will be assumed that any IBM rates that are available will be returned with /SPCIBM. Whatever SecuRate plan code is sent to the hotel associate, Worldspan will expect to receive the same code in return.

This SecuRate plan code has defined viewership and should only be return if requested or if the hotel associate can determine that the requester qualifies for the rate.

If this field is returned with a booking code (/BKC) it is preferred that the SecuRate rate plan (/LVLN) be returned in the response as well. However, it is not required.

Example response with standard rate plan of ‘P’ for Promotional and SecuRate plan code ‘GRU’ with the rate plan of ‘N’:

An availability response will not be processed when:

it is not received from the associate within the designated length of time -- currently 20-25 seconds (considered a 'time-out')

if any fields returned from the associate do not match the same fields sent in the request message if a field returned from the associate contains invalid data or format

if the decimal placement in the rate amount returned does not match the decimal placement recognized by WORLDSPAN for the currency code in the /CUR field

Any of the above conditions will result in the following error appearing briefly on the screen, then an in-house Hotel Select display:

*AP LINK UNAVAILABLE

When an Alternate Inn response is returned from the associate, Hotel AccessPlus will display the following two lines below the text returned:

ENTER HNP- FLWD BY PROP CODE AND OPTIONS TO BOOKENTER HAP- FLWD BY PROP CODE AND OPTIONS TO DISPLAY AVAIL

c. Display

Normal scrolling (MU, MD, MT, MB) within the availability display will apply. Each redisplay (HA*) of a Hotel Source specific availability display will redisplay the last display returned across the link. Redisplay (HA*) will not go across the link to the associate.

The user may input a three character or a single character rate plan, but Worldspan always sends a SINGLE character code to the hotel associate. The hotel associate should respond to Worldspan using the same single character code for the appropriate rate plan versus the three character rate plan code.

Explanation:

The first line of a Specific Availability display for a Hotel Source chain will contain the heading **HOTEL SOURCE** and up to 45 characters of marketing text returned from the associate.

The chain code and property name will be pulled from the WORLDSPAN database.

The check-in and check-out dates will be those returned by the Hotel Source associate. WORLDSPAN will calculate and display the appropriate day of week for each date.

The CURR (currency) code will be based on the code indicated in the A.I.R. Table for that AAA or, if the user has specified a currency in the /E field of their request entry, it will be based on that code. WORLDSPAN will convert the rates returned in the /CUR field of the Hotel Source reply message to the appropriate currency for the user.

The city will be determined from the WORLDSPAN database based on the property code and displayed in the REF field with the appropriate state or country code preceding. If the property is awaiting Geocoding in the WORLDSPAN system and does not yet have a city associated, the REF field will appear blank.

The number of PERSONS will be that returned by the Hotel Source chain in the /NPR field of the reply message.

The fifth line will indicate any optional parameters which were applied to the specific availability display. If no optional parameters were applied, then the blank line will be closed up.

The sixth line will consist of column headers for the data on the following lines.

Line seven will begin the rate data returned by the Hotel Source chain. The maximum number of lines for an availability display is 99.

Page 13

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

Each rate in the Hotel Source availability display will have a line number, a rate amount, up to 4 special rate indicators (optional), and 1 to 3 lines of room/rate description text. Rate amounts will be right justified. The special rate indicators appearing in the display are defined as follows:

You send

Indicator displayed to user

Definition

G G Guarantee is required to bookD D Deposit is required to bookT T Rate includes taxes and surcharges C @ Rate change occurs during period of stayB B Breakfast included L L Limited availability at this rateN N Rate on request status (sale of this rate will default to teletype/in-house processing)M * Rate includes multiple nights (other than a "per night" rate)E ‡ Rate available only via Hotel Source (not loaded in WORLDSPAN database)

The last line of a Hotel Source display will contain additional entry prompts with tab stops.

When the availability request is for more than 2 persons the rates returned should include any extra person charges (if/when applicable). If the associate system is unable to incorporate these charges into the booking code rate, it is assumed that the rate returned will be based on a 1 adult or 2 adult rate. In these circumstances, WORLDSPAN can supply a message tag prior to the rates in the Hotel Source display:

RATE IS FOR 2PERSON: USE /NP-2 PLUS EXTRA CHRG FIELDS IF NEEDED¬

WORLDSPAN will not perform any edit on the sell to ensure that the booking agent follows the aforementioned procedure. Sell requests may still be received with a number of persons greater than 2. WORLDSPAN recommends that the extra person charge, crib and rollaway charges be included in the Hotel Source rate rules response or as a final alternative, in the property detail as keyword text.

If the associate system has rates in excess of a 4K block of data, the hotel associate should include the /MOR field with applicable data in the response message. When the /MOR field is present in the availability response message, a prompt of HA/MORE will be added by WORLDSPAN to the screen display following the last rate and its description.

When the HA/MORE entry is made by the booking agent, another availability request will be sent across the link to the hotel associate for the additional rates. The resulting display will begin with the first rate returned in the most recent response. Scrolling entries of MU, MD, MT and MB will scroll within the most recent batch of rates only. Once HA* is entered, the user will be able to scroll through the complete display of rates including those returned in the initial request and those returned with the HA/MORE request.

D. Rate Rules

1. Entries

Rate Rules by Specific Availability line number: HRnnRate Rules by hotel segment number: HRSyyRedisplay last Rate Rules display: HR*

In the preceding entries, nn equals the line number in Specific Availability and yy equals the PNR segment number.

Rate rules may only be requested for properties which are stored in the WORLDSPAN database. This includes locked and inactive properties as well.

A redisplay of Hotel Source rate rules (HR*) will not cross the link again. The display will be handled within WORLDSPAN based on the data returned in the most recent rate rules response.

Page 14

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

A rate rules request by segment number will be sent across the link when the segment is a Hotel Source (‡vv‡) booked segment. Rate rules may be requested for any Type A or Type B segment as long as the segment has a confirmation number and the segment is not a memo segment (MK or ML). The system will default to an in-house rate rules display if rate rules are requested for a Type B segment that does not contain a confirmation number in the /CF- field.

If requesting rate rules by segment number and the link is down, the system will edit the WORLDSPAN database for the existence of the room type. If the room type is found, then an in-house rate rules display will result. If the room type is not found, an error will be returned.

Notes:

a. The data sent in the /CID, /FRT, /FRG or /ITN fields will be that which was returned in the specific availability response from the associate for the booking code indicated, therefore only one of these fields will be sent in a rate rules request. The /CID, /FRT, /FRG and /ITN fields will not be pulled from the segment when rate rules are requested from a hotel segment.

b. The /CNF field will be pulled from the segment for shipment in the request message sent to the associate. Therefore, the /CNF field will only be sent in a rate rules request made from a hotel segment (HRSnn).

Notes:

a. Worldspan supports multiple 4K blocks.

b. All fields must be shipped in the order in which they appear and may only be sent once per message unless specified otherwise.

c. Required fields are for "good" (/RSPRULVER) and "warning" (/RSPRULWAR) responses. “Error” responses (/RSPRULERR) require only /ERN and/or /ERT following the response type.

Page 17

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

d. All the information preceding the response type needs to be echoed back to WORLDSPAN from the availability request.

e. The /RTE field may occur up to 10 times and the /AMN field (future) may occur up to 6 times. The Tax, Fees and Surcharge Fields (TXST, TXCT, TXCH TXCO, TXFD, TXSL, TXMSC, TXRE, TXSUR, TXSVC, TXOC, TXMT, TXEC, TXPKG, TXBED, TXVAT) may occur multiple times with a maximum occurrence up to 10 times. In addition, the /TXCUR, /TXNO and /TTLRT may be sent only once per message.

The /RTC field must occur once per /RTE occurrence.

f. The /MKT or /MKB field will require a carriage return at least every 60 characters. The /INC, /TXT and /ERT fields will require a carriage return at least every 64 characters. The associate will be responsible for sending the carriage return as needed. There is no limit on the number of lines that may be sent for the /INC and /TXT fields.

g. The /INC and /TXT fields are limited only by the complete message size of 3,600 characters. There is no set limitation on the number of lines that may be sent for each.

h. Only one of the following fields may be returned per rate rules response message: /CID, /FRT, /FRG or /ITN. When required in order to confirm the rate for the requested booking code, the appropriate field is mandatory.

i. If the /CUR or /TXCUR contains a currency which is a decimal currency, rates must have a decimal position indicated by a period (.). WORLDSPAN will accept 0 and 2 decimal positions and will display exactly what is returned from the Associate for percentage values. (i.e. 12.5 percent, etc.). For monetary values, Worldspan will accept any decimal position returned for all new tax fields, including the /TTLRT field, but will only display 0 and 2 decimal positions.

If a Rate Rules response contains a /CUR field it will be applied to the booking codes unless the /RCU accompanies the booking code. So, by default the /CUR will apply to each booking code unless it is overidden by the presence of a /RCU.

j. The following special characters will be accepted by WORLDSPAN within freeform text fields: asterisk (*), dollar sign ($), dash (-), period (.) and a space.

k. The Tax, Fees and Surcharge Fields (TXST, TXCT, TXCH TXCO, TXFD, TXSL, TXMSC, TXRE, TXSUR, TXSVC, TXOC, TXMT, TXEC, TXPKG, TXBED, TXVAT) must contain the following type identifiers: P-percent and M-monetary, followed by the amount, followed by the qualifiers: P-per person, N-per night, and/or S-per stay.

Qualifiers S-per stay and N-per night are not combinable with each other, all other combinations are acceptable. If specifying an N-per night qualifier, an effective date, followed by a numeric value may immediately follow to reflect the entire duration.

If the tax or surcharge fees change during stay and more than one effective date is returned, the effective date, followed by the numeric value must follow the N-per night qualifier to accurately reflect each duration. EXAMPLE: /TXSVM3.00PN30DEC2.

In addition, a tax level indicator such as I-Independent and C-Compound, must be used to identify a compound tax. Application of a compound tax/fee requires precise ordering of the taxes and fees in the response message for proper calculation. Therefore, a number to order the taxes is required immediately following the ‘I’ or ‘C’ in the field. This requirement applies even if there is only ONE ‘I’ or ‘C’ condition.

I – Independent – identifies a stand alone tax/fee charged on the base room rate only. EXAMPLE: /TXSTP6N31DEC2I1

C-Compound – identifies a tax/fee applied on a room rate whereby one or more taxes or fees are applied. EXAMPLE: /TXCTP4N31DEC2C2

NOTE: An M identifier following the /TTLRT field is assumed to be monetary and per stay, If an M is returned for the /TTLRT field, do not display.

Page 18

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

l. The information in this field needs to include the total amount of the room rate, taxes and all fees associated to the room rate per stay ( the entire stay, as opposed to per night or per person). This field has no other Tax field dependencies. Among them are /TXCUR – not required. Default will be the /CUR which applies to the room rate /RTE field. Also, M (monetary) and S (per Stay) are defaults if not specified in this /TTLRT field.

m. The amount of the tax/surcharge will be displayed in the exact format returned from the Associate to Worldspan for percentage values(i.e. 12.5 percent, etc.). However, for monetary values, Worldspan will accept any decimal position returned for all new tax fields, including the /TTLRT field, but will only display 0 and 2 decimal positions.

n. Information in the No Tax/Fee field (/TXNO) shall contain one of the following tax level indicators:

A - All InclusiveTax/Surcharge/Fee (defined as a vacation type accommodation which packages the room rates and fees, food, tips or drinks into one price).

N – No Taxes/Surcharges/Fees or U – All Known Taxes, Fees, Surcharges Disclosed.

Note: Only one indicator is valid per No Tax/Fee field. Information in this field shall be placed in the “Room Rate Detail” header line, immediately following the colon. Example: /TXNOU

o. If the rate rule is for a NET rate, the word ‘NET’ should appear somewhere in this first room description field. This is a procedural requirement.

A rate rules response will NOT be processed when:

it is not received from the associate within the designated length of time -- currently 25 seconds (considered a 'time-out')

if any fields returned from the associate do not match the same fields sent in the request message if a field returned from the associate contains invalid data if the decimal placement in the rate amount returned does not match the decimal placement recognized by

WORLDSPAN for the currency code in the /CUR field if both the /CUR and /TXCUR are returned, only the /TXCUR will be used for tax display purposes if neither of these fields are returned, the message received will be considered unrecognizable and the error response, “AP LINK UNAVAILABLE”, will be displayed to the user.

Page 19

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

Any of the above conditions will result in the following error appearing briefly on the screen, then an in-house Hotel Select display:

*AP LINK UNAVAILABLE

If the room type in the rate rules request does not exist in the WORLDSPAN database, an in-house Hotel Select display will not be possible and an error will be returned.

4. Display

A complete Hotel Source rate rules display will be returned from the associate and scrolling will be handled by WORLDSPAN. Normal scrolling (MU, MD, MT, MB) within the display will apply.

Example:

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

NOTE: Taxes and/or surcharges that may occur during a change of stay will be listed separately.

Explanation:

The first line will contain the heading HOTEL SOURCE between double asterisks (*) indicating that this is a Hotel Source display returned from the associate.

Any marketing text returned in the /MKT field will be reflected between dollar signs ($) immediately following the HOTEL SOURCE heading. Any marketing text returned in the /MKB field will be reflected between dollar signs immediately following the commission information at the end of the rate rules display. A maximum of 3 lines will be displayed in either location.

The chain, property code and property name will appear after the HOTEL SOURCE identifier or after any /MKT marketing text if present. The property name will be pulled from the WORLDSPAN database.

The IN (check-in) and OUT (check-out) dates as well as the NBR PERSONS (number of persons) will be those returned by the associate. The system will calculate and display the corresponding day of the week for each date.

The CURRENCY (/CUR) code will be returned by the associate in the rate rules response message. The currency code may differ from the currency in the rate fields. The currency field will be used for all tax fields where an amount is indicated and will display in the rate rules as shown in the above display, Section D.4.

Note: The /CUR field is also used as the default currency for rates.

_ The TAX CURRENCY (/TXCUR) code will be returned by the associate in the rate rules response message. All tax fields containing amounts must be the same currency. The tax fields currency must be indicated by returning the /TXCUR and is used exclusively for tax currency.

Note: If both the /CUR and /TXCUR are returned, only the /TXCUR will be used for tax display purposes if neither of these fields are returned, the message received will considered unrecognizable and the error response, “AP LINK UNAVAILABLE”, will be displayed to the user.

The BKG CODE (/BKC) field will be preceded by the appropriate chain code and will reflect the booking code for which the rate rules display was requested. This will be taken from either the specific availability display or from the hotel segment, depending on which was used in the rate rules request.

The RATE field will reflect at least one but may reflect as many as eight (8) rate amounts ( /RTE) indicating a breakdown of the rate over the length of stay requested.

For each rate amount, there will be a freeform RATE COMMENT (/RTC) to indicate whether the rate amount is 'per night' or 'per stay' and to which night(s) of the stay the rate applies, i.e. PER NIGHT STARTING 10JUN FOR 3 NIGHTS. Each line of rate data will be formatted as follows with the RATE header appearing only on the first line:

RATE: 1234567.89 cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc : : : : : :.../RTC data :..../RTE data

The ROOM RATE DETAIL FIELD will reflect the tax, fee and service charges associated with the rate. Only those fields that are populated, will display in the Hotel Source Rate Rule. No empty headers will appear.

_ The TOTAL AMOUNT OF STAY includes the room rate, taxes and all fees associated to the room rate per stay.

The DESCRIPTION field will reflect at least one line of room/rate description text ( /RMD) but may reflect up to 3 lines (RD1, RD2). The text returned in the /RMD field will always appear on the first line following the DESCRIPTION field header. This line must also match the first line of Room Description returned in the Availability response. The text returned in the /RD1 will appear following the /RMD and /RD2 will appear following the /RD1 field.

Page 21

Page 22

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

Additional lines of information may appear below the DESCRIPTION field. These lines will consist of freeform text compiled from the data returned in the /INC and /TXT fields from the associate. This information generally provides additional rules for the rate, and identifies guarantee and cancellation policies. There will be no system-placed headers preceding any of the data.

Any topic header appearing in this display will be that which the associate has returned. The information in this portion of the rate rules display is optional, therefore if no data is returned from the associate, there will be no data displayed.

The last line of the display will contain entry prompts to display SPECIFIC AVAILABILITY, to display a Property DETAIL and TO SELL.

E. Sell

1. Entries

Current Direct Sell (HN), Sell from List (H0L) and Sell from Availability (H0 and H0nn) entries will continue to apply. In addition, it will be possible to sell from the new Rate Rules display.

From Rate Rules display: H0

Optional parameters may be added after this new entry.

Since a Rate Rules display is specific to only one rate, it will not be necessary to specify a room type, booking code or line number in the sell entry. Selling from a Rate Rules display will default to the room type or booking code for that display.

Only those properties which are stored in the WORLDSPAN database may be sold across the link. This includes locked and inactive properties as well.

2. Type A Hotel Source SELL Message from WORLDSPAN to Associate

Two new fields have been added for Hotel Source to the segment sell request message: /HSB and /BKC. In addition, the /ACT field has been increased to a 2-character code for consistency with other AccessPlus functions.

Following is an entire recap of the request message data elements and lengths including these three changes.

Notes:

a. The fields will be built in the segment sell message in the order listed above.

b. A maximum of one guarantee field will be built in the segment sell message.

c. Either a booking code (/BKC) or room type code (/RMT) will be sent in the segment sell request but not both. The /BKC field will only be used when a sell is made from a Hotel Source display. All direct sells and sells from a general property list display will be sent with the /RMT field identifier. The code contained in either field could be a WORLDSPAN room type code or a booking code obtained from a previous Hotel Source display.

Page 24

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

d. The /HSB field indicates that the sell request was made from a Hotel Source display -- either specific availability or rate rules. The /HSB field will not be sent when a direct sell or sell from a general property list is made.

e. The /ACT field may be sent with the current 1-character code of 'S' or with the 2-character code of 'SS' as indicated above.

The associate may or may not want the /HSB field and this can be adjusted by the WORLDSPAN Vendor Control Record. The /HSB indicator will remain with the segment throughout its existence until either the room type is modified or any modify to the segment defaults to Type B.

3. Type A Hotel Source Sell Response from Associate to WORLDSPAN

The /BKC field has also been added to the segment sell response message for Hotel Source . In addition, the /RSP fields have been increased from 3-character to 6-character codes for consistency with other AccessPlus functions. a. Indicated required fields are for "good" (/RSPSELVER) and "warning" (/RSPSELWAR) responses. Error responses (/RSPSELERR) require only /ERN and/or /ERT, or /ARM or /AVL following the response type.

b. Total number of lines from /ERN, /ERT, /ARM and /AVL fields combined should not exceed 6 lines. Excess will be truncated.

c. Rates must have decimal position indicated by a period (.). WORLDSPAN will accept up to 2 decimal positions.

d. All the information before the response type (/RSP) needs to be echoed back to WORLDSPAN from the link sell request.

e. The fields in the segment sell response do not need to be in the same order as listed above.

Page 26

WORLDSPAN Hotel Source Questionnaire

f. Either /RMT or /BKC must be returned in the response but not both. Which field is to be returned should be determined by the field that was sent in the request.

g. The /ERT, /ARM and /AVL fields will require a carriage return at least every 64 characters. The associate will be responsible for indicating carriage returns as needed.

h. The following special characters will be accepted by WORLDSPAN within freeform text fields: asterisk (*), dollar sign ($), dash (-), period (.) and a space.

4. Hotel Source Segment

The hotel segment created by selling from a Hotel Source display will reflect the chain code at the end of the segment flanked by end items (‡vv‡) and the booking code taken from the Hotel Source display will appear in the Room Type (/R-) field. The ‡vv‡ will remain with the segment until the room type is modified or until any modify to the segment has defaulted to Type B.

When a Sell in made from a Hotel Source availability or rate rules display and the associate has not returned a room description in the sell response, WORLDSPAN will pull the first line of room description text from the availability or rate rules display from which the sell was made and place it into the /RD- field of the segment. If a room description is returned in the sell response, it will always take priority and will appear in the segment instead. Segments created by direct sell and sell from list entries will only reflect a room description if it is returned from the associate in the sell response.

Example Hotel Source segment:

1 HHL XX SS01 MKC IN15NOV OUT18NOV 238 -XX THE BLUEBIRD INN /NP-2/R-IJ2DOC2/RG-USD 105.00 /RD-2 DOUBLE BEDS-BALCONY-WET BAR-DESK/BS-15230013/NM-TEST PNR/CF-28911232 ‡XX‡

F. AccessPlus Sessions

For availability (HA) and rate rules (HR) entries, the AccessPlus session will be released once a response is successfully delivered to the screen -or- is logged as an unrecognizable, time-out, etc. That session will then be returned to the pool for re-use. For Sells (HN or H0), the session will continue to be held until an ET or Ignore is made (no change to current processing).

Response 'time-out' guidelines currently used for Sell processing will apply to Hotel Source sells as well as rate rules and availability requests. This timer is now set at 20-25 seconds.

G. Definitions

Vendor Control RecordWORLDSPAN’s name for the internal record which contains the slash data fields and their adjustable field lengths.

This also enables WORLDSPAN to turn ‘off’ the field so that when it is input an error is issued to the user e.g. *AP /EM NOT SUPPORTED BY $vv$, turn ‘on’ the field so that it is sent to the associate in an availability, sell or rate rule request, ‘hold’ the field so it is not sent in an availability request but is applied to the sell or finally, default the transaction to type

B when the field is included.

Hotel SOURCEAvailability obtained directly from the Hotel Associate system via type A link within WORLDSPAN timeout guielines

(currently 20-25 seconds)

Hotel SelectThe name of WORLDSPAN’s internal hotel data base, which will be the data base from which a sell or modify

will be attempted once a timeout occurs to a type A or AccessPlus transaction.

Appendix A - Compound Tax

Compound Tax Indicators

Use the tax level indicator, I for Independent and C for Compound, to identify a compound tax/fee. Application of a compound tax/fee will require ‘precise ordering’ of the taxes and fees in the response message for proper calculation. What is meant by ‘precise ordering’? Compound taxes are by definition, applied to the sum of the independent tax/fees and the base rate. Therefore, independent tax/fees must be identified with the ‘I’ and the compound tax/fees must be identified with the ‘C’. To calculate compound tax/fees, each of the independent tax/fees must be calculated against the base rate, then added to the base rate prior to calculating any compound tax/fees.

Example:

Room Rate $150.00

Service Fee 10%City Tax 3%Surcharge $5.00Maintenance Fee $5.00Sales Tax 6%

In the above example, city tax is a compound tax but it only applies to the room rate plus service fee. The service fee is to be applied to the room rate per person per night before anything, so it would come in as TXSVCP10PNI1. The city tax is a compound tax and is to be applied to the room rate plus service fees per stay. It would come in as TXCTP3SC1

The sales tax is a compound tax but it only applies to the room rate plus maintenance fees plus surcharge. The surcharge is to be applied to the room rate per stay. It would come in as TXSURM500SI2. The maintenance fee is to be applied to the room rate per stay. It would come in as TXMTM500SI2. And the sales tax is to be applied to the room rate plus surcharge plus maint fee per night. It would come in as TXSLP6NC2.

I – Independent – Shall identify a stand-alone tax/fee charged on the base room rate only. EXAMPLE:/TXSTP6N31DEC2I1

C – Compound – Shall identify a tax/fee applied on a room rate whereby one or more taxes or fees are applied. EXAMPLE: /TXCTP4N31DEC2C2

Page 28
