Role Description: Senior Treasury Accountant – SA019
Reports To: Treasury Manager
Key Roles:To enhance the capacity of the Treasury function and ensure that it efficiently supports the Company’s operations in Nigeria and elsewhere. This individual will be responsible for driving consistent, simple Treasury, Insurance & Investment monitoring, analysis and forecasting processes across SAPETRO.
Accountabilities: • WorkjointlywiththeTreasuryManager,responsiblefor establishing and monitoring Treasury function’s SLA and KPI’s.• Co-ordinateimplementationwithinthecompany’sreporting package (SAP) of new policies, procedures or controls pertaining to authority and limits in Record-to-Report (RTR) & Procure-to-Pay (PTP) as well as segregation of duties.• Monitoranddocumentkeyeventsinthefinancialservices industry as well as perform regular validation checks on the financial health of our key bankers.• Performadequatevalidationchecksonallpaymentsto ensure:propercomputation,relevantandadequatesupports as well as accuracy of payment instructions. • Ensurevalidityofbankingtransactionsthroughproperand timely monthly review of reconciliation statement of all bank accounts, investment and loan accounts.• Generallymonitorthecompany’sexposuresandensure compliance with it’s policy.• Preparationofshortandmediumtermcashforecasts.• Monitorandreportbankbalancesonadailybasistoensure proper funding of accounts.• Maintaingoodcommercialandinterpersonalrelationshipwith the company’s bankers, Insurance brokers, vendors and other departments.• Liaisewiththerelevantpublicagenciestoobtainkeyfiscaland monetary policy documents and information on a timely basis e.g.CBNMonetaryPolicyGuidelines,FGNAnnualbudgets, ForeignExchangeCircularsetc.• ActivelyparticipateinfinancialandInsurableriskmanagement processes.• PrepareandmaintainInsuranceschedulesandensuretimely renewal.• PursueandobtaintimelysettlementofallvalidInsurance claims.• Provideoversight/guidancetojuniorpersonnelworking directlyonTreasury,InsuranceandFinancialInvestment activities.• PerformanyotherdutiesassignedbytheManager.
Person Profile:• Minimumofa2ndClassUpperUniversitydegree.• Approximately5to10yearsexperiencewithintheTreasury
department of a multinational company or financial institution.• MBAorMaster’sDegreefromatoptierbusinessschoolwill be an advantage.• CharteredAccountant(ACA/ACCA/CPA).• KnowledgeofSAP.• Goodunderstandingoftheworkingsoffinancialsystems.• Abilitytoworkunderpressurewithminimumsupervision.• Goodinterpersonalandcommunication(verbal&written) skills.• Stronganalytical,multitaskingandproblemsolvingskills.• AbilitytospeakFrenchwouldbeanadvantage.• ConversantwiththeuseofMicrosoftOfficeTools.

Reports To: Manager, Accounting and Reporting
Key Roles: TheJointVentureAccountantwilltakeownershipofallFinancerelatedreporting obligations in all the company’s JVs and drive compliance in a timely manner. Critical to this role is the ability to absorb a large mass of data and deploy integrated processes that ensure SAPETRO companies meet their reporting obligations to Partners,HostGovernments andCommunities under each JV.
Accountabilities: • MaintainJVAccountingLedgersforallAssets.• PreparemonthlyBillingStatementsforOperatedAcreages.• PreparemonthlycashcallsforOperatedAcreages.• PrepareperiodicGovernmentandMinistryreportsas requiredbygoverningagreementsforallAssets.• Reviewtransactionsforappropriatecharges.• ProvidereconciliationbetweenJVLedgersandGeneral Ledger Accounts.• GenerateBalanceSheetReconciliationsforassignedaccounts andreviewwithGLAccountant.• ComplywithmonthendtimetableforGLclosureandReports.• Preparemonthlyjournalentries(JVrelatedAccruals).• PreparemonthlyanalysisofCurrentAccountsforindividual JVs.• Preparereportstofeedfinancialstatements(varianceanalysis, etc.).• Workonspecialprojects,ifrequested.
Person Profile:• Minimumofa2ndClassUpperUniversitydegree.• Approximately5to10yearsexperienceinasimilarposition orOilandGasauditexperiencewithareputablemultinational practice.• CharteredAccountant(ACA/ACCA/CPA).• KnowledgeofSAP.• IFRSexperienceisanadvantage.• Goodinterpersonalandcommunication(verbal&written) skills.• Goodteamspirit.• Stronganalytical,multitaskingandproblemsolvingskills.• ConversantwiththeuseofMicrosoftOfficeTools.
