I am looking forward to working with our quality student leadership group chosen by our students and I congratulate all of these students on being selected in these prestigious positions. I would like to also congratulate a large number of our other students who presented quality speeches but
unfortunately just missed out as the overall voting was extremely close. Many of these students will have another opportunity early next year to nominate for other student leadership positions.
Congratulations to our 2018 Leaders - Captains Rahni McGrath and Max Rayward, Vice Captains Tallara Taylor and Callum Dalton, and Prefects Isabella Whitton, Gracie Creighton, Kahlia Wheeler, Gabrielle McKenzie, William Tibbett, Ben Simpson, Nick Shorrock and Rhys Berry.
Next Tuesday we are holding our Annual ‘Carols on the Green’ on our Primary campus beginning at 6.00pm and concluding at 8.00pm. This is a fantastic evening for our community and we are looking forward to another large attendance. Our P&C will be providing a BBQ, hot chips, drinks, ice cream and face painting. Sesquicentenary Memorabilia will also be available to purchase on the evening. Children can sit with their families and everyone is encouraged to wear Christmas clothes. Please note the band will not be performing at the Carols now as the instruments will have already been collected for repairs for the end of the year.
Congratulations to all our students who will be participating in next week’s End of Term Reward days. This is an excellent achievement by these students and I know they are all looking forward to the fun activities provided by our staff. Next Monday student reports will be sent home. Please contact your child's teacher if you require any additional information regarding these reports.
Congratulations to our outstanding students who received silver and gold badges earlier this week at our Stage 2 and Stage 3 badge assemblies. We had close to 160 students receiving a badge which is a fantastic reflection on the quality of our students and our positive rewards system. Our thanks to Mrs Ada, Mrs Dodd and Miss Cotten for their excellent organisation, our staff and Mrs Cassematis for providing a delicious morning tea and our amazing community for their outstanding support.
