It was a great trip to south India from 10th Dec 2012 evening till 23rd Dec 2012 afternoon from Pune at various placesas below along with wife Chanchala, Daughter Sanjana and Son Sarang!Total km Travelled 900 km to & fro to 1st destination Bangalore and 3000 km of tour thus 4800 km, covering fourstates (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Kerala)

Triveni Sangam,Tawa Kauveri (starting point of riverKauveri), Golden temple(Buddhist temple), Raja SeatPoint, Coffee & spice plantations and paddy field,Temple of Lord Omkareswara;Could not see Irruppa fall & Forest (if lucky might seeelephants) since driver took other road!

At Pune Lotus Finally at sweet home! Rest well!

It was a pleasant shock knowing developed India, to see following That there was no bargaining at most of the places like early days India

Tourism has been offering wonderful opportunities for various businesses like photography!

Skills of drivers on the way observed to be simply amazing!

Also god has been kind to us, not much accidents considering population of vehicles on the road and trafficconditions!

There has been good development of roads and shopping centers, overall cleanliness, processes andpractices! Highways have been building across connecting north to south!

India till remains economical for tourism! India has been gifted with great resources like spice, tea, coffee, etc

People have improved transparency in their communication, sharing the facts than letting us to facesurprises!

Learning1. Take a pace of time as appropriate2. Select travel agency who take care of you and track your trip closely like Kirty Travels!3. Pick up most important site seeing points so that you have time for rest at hotel4. Plan the tour well , even point to point hours, travelling hours,5. Interview driver before starting, he can make/ break your entire trip, he should be able to communicate with

you, also should have visited the places earlier. Knows the route and should not be asking now & then every10 minutes!

6. Check vehicle for smooth running, stepney, noise, AC, life of tyres (do not risk the life if any one burst), etc7. Check the kilometer reading at every start & close of the day, also check & tally km reading using mile stone8. Do not go by Google map kilometer reading, actual could be more, add average 100 km in each city for

budgeting purpose.9. Do not forgot to charge mobile, Camera & HandyCam battery at night10. If you come across any good site seeing spot, catch it up without fail.11.Check the entire travelling map for its optimum travel distance

Suggestions1. Speed breaker Standardization about the size & design? Also color - white paint or permanent steel

designed plates

2. At fuel junction, all services under one roof to be offered like puncture repair, petrol/diesel/gas, air supply, etc3. Sunlight lid in car needs to be redesigned so that direct light could be avoided and at the same time drivers

visibility for the road remains4. State entry tax to be paid at the time of entry, not at other place which is located far off5. Heat dissipation of tyre of car needs to be designed6. There should be sliding dividers inside the city based on intensity of traffic on one side, usually traffic is more

on one side so allocate more wider road for that side
