SELECTION CRITERIAPRINCIPLES
• Club representation –We will ensure club balance by choosing at least one player from each of the 14 U17 participating clubs (so long as they train).
• Additional 10 players will come from the next best talent out of the remaining field (note release and call back policy)
• Starting Squad of 28 plus and call ins.
• Training attendance is important to final decision.
• Good decision makers and ball users.
• Leadership, focus and work rate at training.
• We want a team – not just onballers.
It’s about the kids
SELECTION CRITERIA RELEASE AND CALL BACK POLICY
• Purely a coaching decision
• Possible to be recalled after release if needed
• Additional players may be called up if we do not have the makings of a team
• For example: we may need a ruckman or full back if none are nominated by clubs

INJURY POLICY
• Injured for Representative Team = injured for club
• Injured players who can walk must attend training for treatment and rehabilitation
• Injury list will be on the website
• Being injured does not preclude a player from being released
