New RANGE MATS

A TIP FROM OUR GOLF PRO:

South Riding Golf Club How To Approach Uneven Lies

When dealing with uneven lies its im-portant to remember a couple of things.

When addressing the ball from

any lie always lean with the slope. When facing a downhill or uphill lie make certain that your shoul-der line is matched up with the ground on which you are stand-ing. In other words, don't fight the slope!

Uphill lies take an extra club as

the slope of the hill will add loft to your clubface at address.

Downhill lies take one less club

as the slope of the hill will de loft your clubface at address.

A side hill lie with the ball

well below your feet make sure to squat down at address more than you usually would & to aim a touch left as the ball will naturally want to fall from left to right.

A side hill lie with the ball above

your feet make sure to stand tall-er at address & choke up on the club and aim a touch right as the ball will naturally will want to fall from right the left.

Hopefully these tips will help you

to make solid contact from une-ven lies!
