This map illustrates satellite-detecteddamage density in and around the cities ofYei, Morobo and Koya, Nahr Yei district,South Sudan. Using satellite imageryacquired 05 March 2017, UNITAR - UNOSATidentified a total of 18,318 destroyedstructures within an analysed area of about3,640 square kilometers. Approximately10'449 affected structures are found withinYei and along the four primary roadsradiating from the city. About 7,870destroyed structures are found along theroad connecting the cities of Morobo andKoya. Most structures appear to bedestroyed by fire. This is a preliminaryanalysis and has not yet been validated inthe field. Please send ground feedback toUNITAR - UNOSAT.
