Project Goal

• To perform an infrastructure and needs assessment of the identified area, which will facilitate long range planning and sound development for the region.

• The analysis will focus on infrastructure related to transportation, potable water, storm water, sewer, and utilities.

Project LocationA planning area defined as I.H. 35E on the west, Loop 12 on the north, the general Dallas County/Ellis County line on the south, including the City of Ferris, and the Trinity River on the east.

Task 1 Public Involvement and Outreach (Phase 1 & 2)

Development of a Public Involvement and Outreach Plan to include:• Media plan

• Agency coordination

• Key stakeholder interviews

• Focus groups

• Appropriate government agency (councils/boards) briefings

• Public meetings

• NCTCOG web site information content

Task 4Infrastructure Capacity and Needs Assessment (Phase 2)

Perform an infrastructure capacity and needs assessment for the study area focusing on transportation, potable water, sewer, storm water, and utility needs for the area.• Provide current transportation infrastructure inventory• Provide current water, sewer, utility, and other public infrastructure

analysis

• Projections of need for 2030 infrastructure needs

• Provide funding strategies for infrastructure investment

• Create a Phased Implementation Plan for improvements
