Southern Halt Village is located inSouth East Cornwall between Liskeardand Bodmin, and close to thewonderful South Cornwall coastline.

Liskeard is an historic market town and sitsimpressively at the head of the Looe valley in the ancient Hundred of West Wivelshire.Located on the southern edge of BodminMoor, it was granted its first charter back in 1240 and became an important markettown which flourished with the onset of the copper mining boom in the nineteenthcentury. Today that prosperity can still beseen in the town’s fine buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Six miles away you can discover BodminMoor, the epic granite moorland famed for its myths, legends and landscape whichinclude the ancient stone circle known as The Hurlers and the granite ‘Cheesewring’ tor.

Drop down onto the coast where you’ll find the charming harbour-side communities ofLooe and Polperro. Surf the waves at Polzeathand Newquay, visit the cathedral and shops in Truro and head west to explore the studiosand galleries at St Ives.
