Riding Regulations – Applicable to Members or Public during our rides/events. 1 Responsibilities 1.1 Riding or being a passenger on a motorcycle is a dangerous activity with obvious risks and that you are riding a motorcycle at your own risk. 1.2 You or your pillion should be physically and mentally fit to take part in the ride/event and are competent to do so. 1.3 You understand the nature and type of event and the risk inherent when taking part in such a ride/event and agree to accept that such risks may involve negligence on the part of the organisers/officials. 1.4 You agree that yourself or your pillion shall not seek to claim against the South Wales Classic Motorcycle Club, the organisers nor their officials, the landowners, the promoter or other bodies or individuals connected with the event/ride in respect of any damage to my/our property howsoever caused, and whether by the negligence or breach of statutory duty of the said bodies and persons. 1.5 The the machine which you participate on shall be suitable and proper for its purpose, shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Act or equivalent legislation and that it will comply with the regulations in respect thereof, and is described above. 1.6 You hold a valid Certificate of Insurance covering machine, rider and pillion. 1.7 Can get yourself and/or bike home in the event of a breakdown, accident or emergency. 1.8 You are responsible for ensuring you have fuel if running low please advise the organisers so best efforts can be made to ensure fuel stops can be made as required. 1.9 In the event of an accident, pull over where safe, don't make yourself a hazard or put yourself and others at risk. 1.10 You acknowledge that that there are key risks that may be associated with participating in any motorcycle ride at any time and for any reason include the risks of injury arising from;

1 Responsibilities

1.1 Riding or being a passenger on a motorcycle is a dangerous activity with obvious risks and that you are riding a motorcycle at your own risk.

1.2 You or your pillion should be physically and mentally fit to take part in the ride/event and are competent to do so.

motorcycle ride at any time and for any reason include the risks of injury arising from;1.10.1 The malfunction of a motorcycle resulting in an incident or accident.1.10.2 Failing to wear appropriate personal protective equipment or wearing inappropriate personal

protective equipment (PPE).1.10.3 Any collision with another vehicle or with any stationary object.1.10.4 Any accident caused by riding a motorcycle in unsuitable, inclement or dangerous weather

conditions.1.10.5 Riding a motorcycle while intoxicated through the consumption of any substance resulting in

an accident or incident.1.10.6 Riding a motor cycle at a speed that it inappropriate or dangerous for the road conditions

cycle or otherwise exceeding the speed limit applicable to the road in the jurisdiction or altering your speed where you are riding a motorcycle whether to reduce the distance between your motorcycle and another motorcycle rider or for any other reason.

1.10.7 Deliberate or unexpected incursion by motorists into the road where you are riding a motorcycle or into a group of riders of which you are one.

1.10.8 Inadequate parking at start, finish and stop locations.1.10.9 Local law enforcement cancelling the ride.1.10.10 Excessive sun exposure resulting in dehydration, fatigue and sunburn.
