innovative and flexible; I believe all these aspects will be helpful to deal with the challenges of
the industry, productively.
EXPERIENCE
2015 (November) – present: Working as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in the
Department of Biological Sciences, Kent State University, Ohio, USA. Here my goal is to
identify substrates of Protein kinase A and binding partners of Glycogen synthase kinase 3
using proteomics and molecular biological techniques in knock-out/transgenic mice models.
2010 (November) – 2015 (November): Worked as a Doctoral research scholar.
Successfully completed a DBT, GOI funded 4-year R&D project as a research scholar in the
Centre for Rural & Cryogenic Technologies, Jadavpur University on purification,
characterization, hormonal regulation and signal transduction mechanism of certain serum
glycoprotein related to treatment of male infertility.
2009 (January) - 2010 (November): Experience of research in cancer immunology as
Junior Research Fellow in Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), Kolkata.
2008 (July) & 2014 (August): Training in the GLP/GMP grade Quality Control
(Microbiology/Chemistry) laboratory in Pharmaceutical industry (viz. Dey’s Medical Pvt.
Ltd., Kolkata).
2007 (May- June): Hands on experience of working in NACO recommended HIV-AIDS
laboratory in National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED), Kolkata, as a
summer training fellow on the topic, ‘Immunoassays for Detection of HIV
Antigen/Antibody’.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES
Instrument handling: FPLC, HPLC, FACS, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, Fluorescence
microscope, ELISA reader, FT-IR, etc.
Experimental animal (viz. mouse, rabbit) handling (feeding, injection of drugs/cells,
blood/fluid collection) for the purpose of antibody generation/assessment of effect of novel
biomolecules and drugs/tumor development/tumor site detection and its analysis.
A self driven, experienced biochemist with a strong desire for success in R&D of life Science industries. I am skilled in designing, execution and trouble-shooting of research processes. I’m a good team player with fine communication skills and a dependable leader when given free-hand.
