Steps In Installing Mysap.com Workplace 2.00

Install Workplace server

Install the support packs ( ABAP and BASIS only) and the addon wp200.car 

 After you uncar the file and try to apply it via SAINT, you will get two components in the SAINT

list. One of them will be the main Addon and the other one (as per the description of the

component) has to installed first.While installing the addon, there is a possibility of getting an ADDON_CONFLICT error.

This requires the installation of certain level of support packs (ABAP and BASIS) and the related

CRTs (KIWO6B1.CAR, KIWO6B2.CAR, KIWO6B3.CAR).

So before trying to put in the addon, uncar the support packs and the CRTs (at this point there

are three CRTs) for support pack level 13.

Install the the support packs til l 13 (ensure that the CRTs are also available in \EPS\in

folder and are displayed when you upload the patches in SPAM).

 After installing the Support packs, install the addon.

Install the component system Also import the Plug-ins included in the mySAP.com Workplace 2.00 plugin CD-ROM

Install the WP-PI plugins  and their relevant patches (Refer to OSS note 215609  for further

information).

Note : For WP 2.00, installing of WP-PI plugin on the Workplace server is not required

since it is contained in WP_200 addon.

But for the later versions like 2.10, 2.11 the WP-PI plug-in has to installed on the

Workplace server too.

Define the RFC connection between the Workplace server and component systems

Install IISCreate a folder for each component system with folder name as the SID under

\inetpub\wwwroot\

Let the name of each web instance be the SID name

Create Web instances for each component system

When while creating the web instance for each component system, point the physical location of

the system to \inetpub\wwwroot\ directory

 After the web instance is created, select the instance and right click on it.

Click on Properties and the goto the ‘Home Directory’ tab

Check the ‘Run in separate memory location check box’

Download the latest ITS & SAP WebStudio from

http://www.saplabs.com/usa/devarea/itspack.htm or www.sappoint.com or www.sapstuff.com Create a user ITSADM as instructed by the ITS installation guide.

Login as ITSadm to install ITS

Install ITS instances for each component system.

While installing the ITS instances, you will be asked to include ITS packages for respective

component system. When you get to that screen, browse and select the appropriate .car file of

the component system.

Workplac.car, webgui.car, ccmsmonitor.car are mandatory for every ITS instance.

46B instance would need 46b_all1.car and 46b_all2.car  file along with the above three car

files

Similarly, the ITS instance for BW 2.0B would need 20b_BW_2.car  file along with the above

three files.

Similarly every component system will have some ITS package to included while installing the

respective instance. Refer to OSS note 308935  for customizing information in BW and Workplace in order to

integrate BW system in a Workplace system

While installing the ITS instances, you will also have to specify unique port number for each

instance.

 You will also have to create an instance ( ADM) for ITSAdm. You will have include the ITS

package its_adm.car along with the above three packages.

Refer to page 31 of the installation guide  for information on installing ITS packages for

individual component systems. Also refer to OSS note 201190 

For installing the ITS instances, refer to the installation guide.

 After installing each ITS instance for the individual component system, you also have to change

the SAPmpr àà   Production Mode  value in the Windows registry for all the instances of the

component systems

Goto Windows registry (execute regedit32)

Follow the path HKEY_SOFTWARE à SOFTWARE à SAP à ITS à 2.0 à  à Programs à 

SAPmpr à On the right hand part of the window, double click  on Production Mode à Value

Install the WP-PI plugin all the component system

Install the optional components such as DCOM connector, Drag & Relate, Single Signon etc.

Refer to Workplace installation guide as well the respective guides.

Then refer to Configuration guide or use SMART Implementation tool (Refer to the SMART

Implementation tool guide) to integrate the component systems with Workplace server or refer

the configuration guide.
