Completed an onsite class for the mentally challenged

2 Plan Review, 15 Site Survey, and 46 Fire Inspections Attended the PrepareAthon! Kickoff for February Met with County Manager, Rocky Kenway and the City on Hydrant Testing. Completed a Pre-fire Plan on the old Courthouse with Eric Mosley & Chief Clark. Delivered smoke detectors to staff at Moorland Road Elementary

01.20.2016: Chief West, Chief Polk and Lt. White did site surveys with Danielle Graham of GEMA and Bruce Ballard of the school system at Kennedy Middle, Jackson Road and Spalding High.

01.20.2016: Personnel worked on final details for the PrepareAthon! Kick-off.

01.20.2016: Chief West went to the transportation meeting.

01.20.2016: Chief West went by Caremaster to discuss the PrepareAthon! Campaign.

01.21.2016: Chief Polk attended a webinar for potential winter weather.

01.21.2016: Spalding County Office of Homeland Security hosted the PrepareAthon! Kick-off meeting.

01.21.2016: Chief and Chief Polk attended the quarterly EMS region meeting in Coweta County.

01.23.2016-01.24.2016: The Spalding County Fire Department hosted a Rescue Specialist Class at Headquarters. Attendees included personnel and personnel from surrounding agencies.

01.25.2016: Chief Clark called Station 6 and advised personnel to be at 399 Sandy Springs Drive in reference to a smoke detector detail.

01.25.2016: Chief West, Chief Polk and Lt. White along with Danielle Graham of GEMA, Bruce Ballard and Jimmy Passmore of the school system completed site surveys at Cowan Elementary, Cowan Middle and Griffin High.

01.25.2016: Chief West, Chief Polk and Lt. White met with Mr. Mosley to determine the details needed to be ready for the PrepareAthon! on February 3, 2016.

01.26.2016: Firefighter Fernando Harps received his 15-year service award from Chief West. Fernando hired on January 9, 2001 is married to Lisa Harps and has three children.

01.26.2016: Firefighter Darries Lemons awarded for 15-years services to the Spalding County Fire Department. Darries was hired on January 9, 2001 and says he is honored to work with the Spalding County Fire Department and looks forward to the next 15 years.

01.27.2016: Chief West, Chief Clark, Chief Polk, Battalion Chief Lyons and Captain Goodman attended a Rail Tank Car course at UGA Griffin presented by the RDPC.

01.28.2016: Chief West, Chief Clark and Chief Polk attended a CAD vendor presentation.

01.28.2016: Chief Polk and Captain Goodman met with Larry Curry in reference to cars for the upcoming extrication course we are hosting.

01.29.2016: Chief West, Chief Polk, Lt. White completed site surveys with Danielle Graham of GEMA and Bruce Ballard of the school system at Beaverbrook, Jordan Hill and Atkinson.
