FROM THE EDITORThe word “Spandana” means heartbeat, (Hridiya Spandana) a response from the heart and as the name suggests the program is aimed at creating a much softer yet intense bond between the employees and the organ-isation not just at the professional level but at a personal level too. This is a where the employees come together, to play, to learn and too enjoy. The program is essentially a pool of activities aimed at understanding the importance of soft skills and traits that would help them face the day to day work enthusiastically. The fourth edition of Spandana has set the momentum for “fun and learn” continued at “Century Resort” in Dandeli in March 2014. The training programs are conceptualized by the HR team and anchored around the themes of WCQ Standards, life and Motivation skill that would help the participant to face the day to day work and life, Trekking and adven-tures Water Games. These games encourage proactive participation where TTMs, MTAs and DET’s get to engage with their peers. This also provides a platform to forge a stronger bond between the management and the Trainees/Operatives. At the end of each game a briefing session is conducted by the supervisors, HR team and Trainer, linking the learning from the games with day to day work, and how the same can be incorporated in performing the job with efficiency as well as effectiveness. The games helped connect each principle of WCQand day to day work.
