Poultry Pullorum-Typhoid TestingUpdate
Pullorum-Typhoid testing requirement forpoultry has been waived until August 31, 2019due to a shortage of the antigen frommanufacturers.
What does this mean for county and state fairs?
Birds do NOT need to be tested prior to, orduring county fairs and state fair. Therequirement for all birds to originate frompullorum-typhoid free flock is also lifted untilAugust 31, 2019.

Pressure Canner Testing
Now is the time to check your pressure canner.Weighted or rocker-type pressure regulatorscannot be adjusted and will usually remainaccurate. However, pressure canners with adial-type pressure gauge should be tested eachyear for accuracy. We can NOT test Burpee orAll-American brand guages.
Please call 515-532-3453 to get yours tested!The fee for testing lids is $5 per lid. Pleasebring in your canner lid and dial gauge.
