THE BUYOUT PRICE was announced at 511 million Euro. Mr. Zhan Chunxin, Chairman and Managing Director of Zoomlion, made the following statement: ÒThis acquisition can be seen as a milestone, creating a Group with a vertically integrated system for the manufacture of construction machinery over six continents. By combining the competitive advantages of CIFA with those of Zoomlion we can increase productivity, consolidate our leading position and make full use of the new challenges and opportunities on the global market. The pioneering profile of CIFA teamed with our investments in R&D will further enhance our portfolio’s high level of quality and innovationÓ.

Mr. MAURIZIO FERRARI will continue to function as chairman of CIFA, but he will also take on the responsibility of Vice-president at Zoomlion. Regarding the buyout, Mr. Ferrari stated:

It is worth mentioning that CIFA products will not only maintain their identity, but they will be developed further: the CIFA brand shall represent the premium product line of the new Group.

THE OPENING CEREMONY was honoured by the presence of the Greek Ambassador Dr. Dimitris Moschopoulos.

THE PURPOSE OF THE EVENT was to bring the local market into contact with Spanos S.A. suppliers, who led visitors through a Òguided tourÓ of their products. The event also served as an excellent opportunity for an in-depth discussion on the latest developments in the field and exchange of information and know-how.

THE FIRST DAY of the event - 10 July - was dedicated to Concrete. An exceptionally interesting workshop on the safe and efficient use of concrete pumps attracted an eager audience.

THE SECOND DAY was focused on Asphalt Paving

and Road Building matters, with a detailed presentation of a full line of machinery and equipment.

ALL RELATED ISSUES were covered in both theoretical and practical aspects, and the workshops that were held showed high participation.
