COIMBATORE JUNCTION

About Salem, Madurai, Coimbatore as per my opinion

SALEM

Salem was small city of Tamil Nadu. There were three parts of Salem Old bus stand road, New bus stand road and Five roads. Salem city is surrounded by mountain. There are only 18 big showrooms.

There are two major scopes for business of Jewellery and Restaurant because their culture likes a foreign as all family members are working.

Salem city is clean as compare with Madurai city and Coimbatore city. There jewellery business give one scheme for customers that they give jewellery

on instalments, they call this scheme by ‘cheat fund facility’ There bus facility is very good; we can catch bus at every 5 minutes. But there

auto are very expensive. People of Salem city are very helping nature.

MADURAI

Madurai city is famous for its Meenakshi Amman temple; the temple is very big and beautiful.

There is also major scope for business of Jewellery and Restaurant.

Page 32: Sparkle Exhibition Report Jesmin

SPARKLE EXHIBITION 32

Madurai is very dirty city, only there bus stand is very clean. There is no instalments facility to purchase in jewellery. People of Madurai city are very helping nature like Salem. There bus facility is very good; we can catch bus at every 5 minutes. But there

auto are very expensive like Salem.

COIMBATORE Coimbatore is biggest city to compare with Salem and Madurai. There is scope for business of Jewellery but not scope for hotel. There railway station is very clean but whole city is very dirty, because

everywhere opens drainages lines. People of Coimbatore city are not so helping nature like Salem and Madurai. There bus facility is very good; we can catch bus at every 5 minutes. But there

auto are very expensive like Salem.

Experience at Dadar Station

That was second time I went to Mumbai. Our train was arrived at 4:30am and our next train to go Surat was Saurashtra express and its time was 8:30am. So we had to Waite there around 4hrs. We were so hungry so we took cup of coffee with parle-G.

When we getting down at the Dadar station we were confuse about our next train to at which platform train would arrive, so we asked vary people who standing at platform and they all gives different answers, so we went station master office to enquire about Saurashtra express he gave me exact answer.

We saw the scene And that time we getting surprise about the culture of Mumbai, is so busy. There people are looking so busy at early morning. Each person was running to catch the ‘PARANI’ train. Mumbai is a very big city.

When we waiting for the train, we found one person who missed his train and waiting for next train, till his next train he talked with us about our train.

We caught our train at Dadar station we took our seat in train and We reached Surat station at 2:30pm, 15th December 2010.

Work in SGCCI

We returned from our tour and I took rest 5days and after I returned to my job in SGCCI. In SGCCI had to follow up my guest whom we had invited from Tamil Nadu, I had to call every person individually, whom I gave invitation form and asked about when he/she would come at Surat to visit sparkle exhibition, write in his form to when he/she come and submitted to another volunteer in SGCCI . After completed my file I took another file of Chennai to follow up them and finally reported the same to another volunteer.

My, another worked was that I and another person from SGCCI, we went to exhibitor’s showroom and collected fees and gave him free passes to participants and we had to make list of parties name and e-mail id. So I worked in SGCCI from 11am to till 7:30pm. In that worked I learn that, how to talked, how to speak, how to convince, how to explain our objective, how to makes good relationship with our senior and guests.

In the working time SGCCI provide us lunch and tea/coffee. After completing of sparkle exhibition, SGCCI will give us one wonderful certificate and also Rs 200per day as salary.

4 days in Exhibition Centre

Our worked started at convention centre from 6th to 9th Jan 2011. First we went to convention centre from SGCCI on 5th Jan with our sir Raj Jariwala. After reached centre first we visited whole exhibition then Raj sir introduced us with Siddharth sir who was in charge of Passes registration department.

Siddharth sir explains our worked in centre, so we went to passes registration department to saw the procedure how to make passes on computer and that was not so easy work as I expect.

I started my work from 6th Jan. I reached exhibition centre at 9am and started my work on computer to registration of passes under in charge of Siddharth sir. I did the same worked during the whole exhibition.

First two days there was not so many visitors came, so I had not so much worked, in last two days (Saturday & Sunday) there was so many visitors came to visit that Exhibition, I was so busy in last two days that I had not enough time to take lunch.
