This is designed for students in the Grades 11 and 12 who have
or have not undergone any formal music training. It provides a
wide array of opportunities for the students to discover their
potentials in music, both in theory and performance. This course
aims to provide musical skills necessary for a future professional
study in music. This course offers training in musical
performance, vocal and instrumental as well as theoretical study
of music. It also exposes the students to possible careers in
music, can be music performance or music teaching.

are interested in Dance, including those with no prior
dance experience and those with differing degrees of
formal dance training.
The students have many opportunities to discover and
develop personal talents and to expand their perceptions
of self, community, and the world.

This career track offers a spectrum of the different aspects
of Dance Education - as an art form, as a profession, and as
a tool for social transformation. It recognizes the discipline
by touching on the various elements, concepts, techniques
and genres of Dance as well as promotes it as a career
opportunity for learners to exhibit their skills through dance
performances and creation.

Dance as Prospective Career
This aspect focuses on the application of the skills and knowledge learned
through the exploration of possible opportunities for a Dance major.
Dance as Tool of Social Transformation
This aspect deals with the incorporation of values and principles, so that the
students would realize how dance as a profession can help in the creation of
jobs and opportunities for others, enhance the promotion of positive values
and cultural heritage, and advocate a desired change in social structures and
lifestyle.

and 12 with or without prior experience in theater arts, technical
theater and theater performance. Students are provided with
opportunities to discover and develop personal talents in stage
performance. This can serve as springboard to a degree and
career in theater arts.

As an Art Form
This aspect touches on the basic knowledge and skills that need to be
acquired/ learned in the specific discipline of Theater Arts (i.e., elements,
conventions, genres, basic skills in acting, movement and stage discipline).
Means of Creative Expression/
Prospective Career
This provides exposure to theatrical performance and production as medium
of expressing oneself, and explore opportunities for a career in theater arts.
Tool for Social Transformation
Students will be required to use/apply the knowledge
and skills acquired to participate in or create theatrical
productions that would not only entertain but also
communicate and nurture values and traditions,
preserve and promote cultural heritage, and support
advocacies.
