Our company provides engineering, design, and project management services to private and public sector clients. Our firm also offers Forensic Engineering Services. These range from simple rebar identification to a full scan analysis to determine the rebar size, spacing and cover. With this information an accurate structural as built can be made by introducing this information into a computer 3D model and the results can tell us if the structure must be retrofitted or not. For structural retrofit we offer sev-eral solutions that include FRP (fiber reinforced polymers), steel frames, or combinations of both. We can do the design and implementation of such structural retrofit.

Roberto J. Marte de la Mota, PE, MECE STRUCTURAL AND FORENSIC ENGINEER

Holds a Masters of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus as well as Masters of Engineering in Construction Manag ement and a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from the Technological Institute in Santo Domingo. Roberto has worked in the design and management of several multi-million dollar infrastructure projects, like bridges, roads, and public transportation planning. Since 2007 he has worked in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Latin America in structural analysis, forensic engineering, construction project and personnel supervision, development of structural assessments, erosion and sedimentation control, plans, and budget management. He works as the Structural Area Coordinator and Professor in the Depart-ment of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico teaching courses related to structural analysis, steel and concrete design, construction materials, and geotechnical engineering. Roberto is the founder and president of SPEC ENGINEERING SERVICES. He is extremely proficient in formulating productivity improvement method-ologies during design, structural forensic investigation and construction.
