FLEXIBLE COMMUNICATIONThe XR500N has transitioned from dialer-focusedcommunicationstoatruenetworkand cellular communications approach byproviding stronger, multi-layered panelcommunications that ensure a constantlink between the panel and CentralStation. Installers have the ability tocreate, configureandmanageup toeightcommunicationpaths.

The unique DMP Serial 3 format supports16-characteruser,zoneandareanamestodecreasethecentralstationresponsetimeandlimitdependenceonautomationliteraltablesformessageconversion.

ENCRYPTIONThe XR500E provides encrypted datatransmission and is ideal for secureenvironments where encrypted data isrequired.UsingAES (Advanced EncryptionStandard) Encryption ensures secure datatransmissionbyusingauniquealphanumericpassphrase. UL Listed and NIST CertifiedEncryption.

NETwORk OR CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONBuilt-inEthernetCommunicationsenhancenetworkoptionsandprovidesStandardandEncryptedLineSecurity.BothUDPandTCParesupported.Thenetworkoptioncanbeusedastheprimarypathorasabackuppathtothedigitaldialerorcellularoption.

The 463G p lug- in D ig i ta l Cel lu larCommunicatorcanbeusedastheprimarypath, providing installation flexibilitywhere no land lines are available. Usedas the backup path, the 463G providesthe securityofa communication link thatcontinuestofunction,evenwhenlandlinesare cut or compromised. This interfaceworks on digital Cellular GSM/GPRS datanetworks over a variety of carriers in theUSAandCanada.

EIGHT COMMUNICATION PATHSCreate,configureandmanageuptoeightcommunicationpathsbetweenthepanelandCentralStation.Eachpathhasitsownpanelcommunication programming parameters,andcanbeidentifiedaseitherprimaryorbackup.Thisenablesinstallerstoconfigurea reliable communication link, offeringgreaterconfidencethatthepanelwillalwaysbeconnectedtotheCentralStation

ADAPTIvE TECHNOLOGYIf a current primary communication pathbecomesunavailable,AdaptiveTechnologydirects the panel to make a seamlesstransitionfromonecommunicationpathtoanotherwithinmilliseconds,ensuringthatnocheck-inorsupervisionmessagesaremissed.Thisallowsasystemtobefullysupervisedwhen the primary communication path isunavailable,whileminimizingexpensivecelltrafficwhenallpathsaregood.Thepanelisconstantlycheckingthefailedpathtoenablethepaneltorevertbacktotheprimarypathwhencommunicationisrestored.

BUILT-IN PROGRAMMER AND DIAGNOSTICSEnablesinstallersandservicetechnicianstofullyprogramthesystemandrundiagnosticsfromanyDMPLCDkeypad.

CANCEL/vERIFYIn a Home/Sleep/Away orAll/Perimetersystem,CANCELaburglaryalarmorVERIFYthat a valid burglar alarm has occurred.SelectingVERIFYmanuallyverifiesthealarmandanalarmverificationmessageissenttotheCentralStation.

FLASH UPDATEABLEThe XR500 Series panel accepts softwareupdates from a remote location usingRemote Link™ software.As new XR500featureupdatesrelease,performtheflashupdateremotely.

AREASProgram up to 32 areaswith a variety ofoptions,includingindependentarming.Eachareahasauniquenameandmayhave itsownaccountnumber.Common areas automatically arm whenthe last independent area is armed anddisarmwhenthefirst independentarea isdisarmed.Thisisidealforlobbiesorareaswhereusersneedcommonaccesstospecificareasonly.

AREA DISPLAY

Toprovidemoresystemflexibility,anycombinationofareasmaybeassignedtoaparticularkeypad.Inthismanner,a32-areasystemcouldfunctionas16mini-systems,eachhavingtwoareasofprotectionthatarecontrolledfromasinglekeypad.

ALL/PERIMETER OR HOME/SLEEP/AwAY OPTIONSThe XR500 Series panels support All/PerimeterorHome/Sleep/Awayoperation.WhenAll/Perimeteroperation is selected,Area1isthePerimeterandcanbeseparatelyarmed allowingArea 2, the Interior, toremainunarmedwhileyouareinside.When Home/Sleep/Away operation isselected,Areas 1 and 2 operate as in anAll/Perimetersystem.Area3istheBedroomareaandallowsuserstoarmtheperimeterand interior at night while leaving thebedroomareadisarmed.

DMP wIRELESSTheeasilyprogrammable900MHzfrequency-hopping spread-spectrum DMP1100XSerieswirelesssystemfeaturesTwo-waycommunicationforsuperioroperation,supervision and battery life. Two-waycommunication minimizes repetitivesignaling and helps to quickly identifymissingtransmitters.Simplekeypadaccesscanbeusedtoverifythatwirelessdevicezonesareinworkingorder.

ZONE EXPANSIONThe XR500 provides up to 574 zones,programmableforburglary,fireandaccessapplications. The system contains eightburglary zones and two Class B 12VDCpoweredzones.Upto64zonesareavailableon16keypadaddressesandupto100zonesareavailableonthebuilt-inLX-Bus.Addupto500zonesusingExpansionModules.

CROSS-ZONINGThis powerful feature allows zones to beprogrammed to report alarms onlywhenone ormore zones trip twicewithin 4 to250programmableseconds.Ifonlyonezonetripswithinthespecifiedtime,afaultreportissenttothecentralstation.

10,000 USER CODESEach user can be assigned to one of 99different profiles that provide access toanycombinationofareas.

DOOR STRIkE SCHEDULES wITH OvERRIDESpecificdoorsmayuseoutputschedulestounlock during certain times of the day ornight,orthecardreadercanbecompletelydisabled when desired. The scheduleoverridefeaturekeepsdoorslockedshouldthebusinessopenlaterorcloseearlierthanscheduled.

MULTI-LINGUAL DISPLAY OPTIONXR500SeriessystemsmaybeprogrammedtodisplaytheUserMenuandStatusDisplaytextinmultiplelanguages.WhentheCommandkey is pressed, the option to choose alanguage displays. Select the languageto use.The language chosen continues todisplayatthekeypaduntilanotherlanguageischosen.

SHIFT SCHEDULES wITH HOLIDAYSUp to four independent Shift schedulesare available for each of the 32 areas.Shift schedules are usedwhen areas areprogrammed to automatically arm ordisarmandtotransmitareaLate-to-Closereports. Shift schedules are assigned touser authorities, called Profiles, to definescheduled permissions for system users.Override normal day-to-day schedules upto a year in advancewith up to 20 user-selectable Holiday Dates. Independentholiday schedules are available for eachshift,outputanddoor-strikeschedule.

kEYPAD SHORTCUT kEYS Keypad shortcut keys are provided tosimplify operation and allow the user toarm,monitororresetthesystem.
