TYPE OF CAMP: Residential camp for adults ages 18 years old and up with both a physical and cognitive

disability. Description: Campers enjoy a week of relaxation and socialization with newly acquired and long

standing friends. This week of camp is much like a relaxing vacation for 60 campers filled with live music

events, casino night, pontoon rides on our 110 acre lake, cooking classes, and lounging by the pool.

are Indiana residents. Priority acceptance is given to these applicants, but one sibling or friend per camper

may also attend as space allows.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: Robert T. Grand Leadership Academy: ages 16-18 are eligible to apply for

participation in leadership training, which takes place 2 days before camp. Campers will learn lifelong

lessons they will put to use right away.

DATES: July 25-27, 2014

COST: Little Red Door asks families to send their child for a nominal fee of $25 ($50 per sibling), and

financial assistance is arranged for anyone unable to make the payment.

TYPE OF CAMP: This camp is a one week residential camp for campers ages 6-17 with cancer or within 5

years diagnosis or treatment (do not have to be in active treatment). Camp Horizon offers a traditional camp

experience to include swimming, canoeing, fishing, zip-line, and crafts to name a few. Each child will be

paired with an adult companion throughout the week.

A counselor-in-training program is also offered to campers ages 18-20 years old. Priority consideration is

given to cancer survivors.

TYPE OF CAMP: These camps are for for families to attend and are open to Active Duty or Reserve and

national Guard families from any state of branch of service. You have to have one child between the ages of

5-18 to attend. Formal activities will not be planned or offered for children under 5. Priority will go to

families who have experienced at least one deployment, who are geographically dispersed, and/or to families

who have not previously attended a military camp.
