Apples are full of Vitamin C and antioxidants

Eat a red apple and enjoy!

NOVEMBER 4-H MEETING

At November’s Titus County 4-H meeting we board-

ed the plane in Beijing China and landed in Lagos

Nigeria. Jenifer Ross, stewardess, took care of the

passengers while Captain Puggy was our pilot and

the headless man returned as the co-pilot. Roger

and Sue Farr toured us thru Nigeria. We learned

about clothing, food, agriculture, health concerns,

geography and much, much more. Their daughter,

Kate Farr, is currently serving in Nigeria doing

physical therapy. The Farr’s served Suya, Plantains

and Chin Chin. What a treat! We want to thank the

Farr’s for being the tour guides in Africa. Where

are we going in December?????

JMG

Keith Kridler, MG presented "Habitat"

program at the JMG. The JMG's made

wooden birdhouses and were creative

on decorating. Thanks Mr. Kridler for

helping us make birdhouses. "Home

Tweet Home" was Mylee slogan.

What is vermicast? Vermicast is just a fancy word for worm manure, also called "castings." The castings are great nutrients for indoor and garden plants. JMG's created an ideal home for worms to recycle food waste. Special thanks to MG, Linda Whiting for presented the wormy program.

HORESEMANSHIP PROGRAM

Germs are everywhere! They can get onto your hands and items you touch throughout the

day. Washing hands at key times with soap and water is one of the most important steps

you can take to get rid of germs and avoid spreading germs to those around you. Studies

have shown that handwashing can prevent 1 in 3 diarrhea-related sicknesses and 1 in 5

respiratory infections, such as a cold or the flu. Check out this video: http://
