1. Material of construction : Stainless steel SS316L
2. Type of protection : Increased safety – Ex e Group IIC/IIB+H2 T6 certified as
IEC60079-7 confirming to hydrogen gas environment.
3. IP Protection : IP66 as per IEC 60529 for weather proofing
4. Gasket : Endless neoprene
5. Finish : Electro polished
6. Cover Fixing : Hinged Type
7. Earthing : 2 Nos of External and Internal earthing required
8. Cable entry : 3 way cable entry (sideways and bottom)
9. Cable entry size :M75*1.5mm,M50*1.5mm M25*1.5mm
10. Cable glands : SS double compression cable glands suitable for the
above cable entry size required.
11. Cable entry Plug : Aluminium Plug (closure) suitable for the above
cable entry closing is also required.
12. Cable Termination : Terminal blocks (DIN Rail mounted) cage clip on type
required for cable of 2.5/4 sq.mm required.
Terminal blocks are to be numbered on both sides.
13. Junction mounting : Each J.B shall have 4 lugs for fixing on wall or
fabricated support. Two of holes shall be round and
other two oblong to facilitate correct positioning.
14. Name plate : SS nameplate indicating, JB tag required. shall be fixed by screws.

Specification SOV cubicles with explosion proof junction boxes
These SOV Cubicle Boxes are required for housing high pressure Solenoid Valves in hazardous (IIC)
area. Each cubicle houses 5 No. of Solenoid valves [SOV]. 2 Nos of Electrical Junction Boxes (J/B), certified
for hazardous environment (IIC certification), are attached to weather proof cubicle for providing electrical
interfacing to SOVs.
1.1 SOV Cubicle specification:
Housing Material : Stainless Steel SS304/SS316
Thickness of housing material : 4mm thickness minimum
Dimensions of Housing : 720*450*320 mm (approx)
(length*width*depth) in mm : To be suitable for mounting 5 Nos of 5/2 or 3/2 way

1.4 Specification of Header to be supplied to be quoted separately
Each SOV cubicle shall have a common header for command gas. The header shall be mounted
firmly inside the SOV cubicle. Header shall be an SS pipe having one inlet with SS flange and 5 outlets with
¼” NPT( female). The outlet port should be nearer to the SOV mounting position.
