Specification SOV cubicles with explosion proof junction boxes

These SOV Cubicle Boxes are required for housing high pressure Solenoid Valves in hazardous (IIC)

area. Each cubicle houses 5 No. of Solenoid valves [SOV]. 2 Nos of Electrical Junction Boxes (J/B), certified

for hazardous environment (IIC certification), are attached to weather proof cubicle for providing electrical

interfacing to SOVs.

1.1 SOV Cubicle specification:

Housing Material : Stainless Steel SS304/SS316

Thickness of housing material : 4mm thickness minimum

Dimensions of Housing : 720*450*320 mm (approx)

(length*width*depth) in mm : To be suitable for mounting 5 Nos of 5/2 or 3/2 way

Solenoid Valves (refer drawing attached)

Working Fluid : Gaseous Nitrogen (GN2)

Operating pressure : 4.7 MPa ± 10%

Protection certification : IP66

Dimensions of the Cubicle (approx.) : Schematic of existing valve cubicle is enclosed in

Annexure-A. However the supplier may provide general

Arrangement drawing. Only after approval from the

department [IPRC], the supplier may proceed for

1.4 Specification of Header to be supplied to be quoted separately

Each SOV cubicle shall have a common header for command gas. The header shall be mounted

firmly inside the SOV cubicle. Header shall be an SS pipe having one inlet with SS flange and 5 outlets with

¼” NPT( female). The outlet port should be nearer to the SOV mounting position.
