The kit B12057E, KITSAV-SPEED-SENSOR-TESTER is composed of:

Wiring


Wiring of cable to the speed sensor tester

• Strip 10 mm of insulation from each wire end with stripping pliers, • Insert the wires into connector terminals of tester by respecting the color

code described below:

Wiring of sensor to the cable

• Connect the sensor to the corresponding connector available on the cable. The green LED “Ein” lights.

Prerequisite before testing

1) For initial conditions, see description on boards above and column 1.1 or 2.1. Led status are defined. View of led status:

2) Position the fixing lug of TD and TR speed sensor at the bottom and perpendicular to the tester box during the test as indicated on the illustration below.

Place the sensor above the tester and far away from the target. The target is identified by the sign � and the text “Magnet” at the bottom left of tester box.

Move slowly the sensor above the target.

Continue to move slowly away from the target.

If during the test, the LEDs are not in required st atus for one or more steps, the sensor is defective. Return the sen sor for a detailed analysis to Verberie’s Repair Center.

Place the speed sensor in a vertical position above the tester and far away from the target. The target is identified by the sign � and the text “Magnet” at the bottom left of tester box.

Move slowly the sensor above the target.

Continue to move slowly away from the target.

• Reverse the signal wires (black and white) and then repeat the steps 1.1 to 1.3.

Maintenance ALL


• If the red LED “Bat.” lights during the test, it is necessary to replace the batteries in the tester box.

• Turn over the tester box. Loosen the four screws by using a Philips screwdriver and remove the rear cover.

Maintenance


• Extract and replace the two 9 volts batteries (6F22) by new ones. Respecting the fitting orientation.

• Reinstall the rear cover, then install and tighten the four screws.

• Turn over the tester box. The red LED is turned off now.

After testing disconnect sensor to avoid to empty b atteries.
