Years before the Spendlove Group began, Ian Spendlove was mastering a number of professions. He became a qualified hairdresser whilst also running two successful market stalls at London Waterloo’s ‘The Cut’ and the

Bromley Sunday Market. He then decided to travel the world, starting in the South of France to teach windsurfing and skiing on a six month summer job, returning via New York seven years later.

On his return to the UK over 25 years ago, Ian worked for several years within the vehicle marketing sector of the events industry working along side Ford of Britain on product launches, film shoots and Motor shows therefore its

was a natural progression into the world of corporate events.

Ian saw an opportune gap in the UK’s event services market and created Showforce – the first of its kind to create a clean cut corporate edge to what was previously known as a rock and roll industry.

His passion, drive and tenacity were instrumental in quickly growing a group of companies recognised for their

quality of work and professionalism in the world of events and business development.

In 2009, Ian took the Showforce brand to the Middle East, opening an office in Dubai. Following the success of this, he then opened an office in Qatar in 2012, which inspired the birth of the Spendlove Group.

Expanding and culturally intertwining with the Middle East, Ian’s most recent endeavours include the launch of the highly successful global Production HR Sector and seeking out new business ventures across Europe. His tireless

determination frequently pushes the boundaries of who we are and what we do – constantly evolving and moving our relative industries forward.
