Third Annual Spin for a Veteran event – we need your support
Canadian Pacific (CP) is pleased to announce its support of the third annual Spin for a Veteran event, to take place in Calgary, AB on June 1 and 2, 2019.
Our employees have a very long history with the military and as a way of giving back they, along with Servicemen/women and Corporate Teams, will be on stationary bikes, spinning for 24 hours with the goal to raise awareness and $400,000 for the Homes For Heroes Foundation.
Homes for Heroes Foundation is a program that aims to assist military veterans with the re-integration into civilian life. Homes for Heroes Foundation helps those who dedicated their work to the protection of Canadians and maintaining our freedoms, regain the support and engagement of their communities. The program provides homes, a community of peers, a support structure designed to meet individual needs, and a sense of place and belonging for veterans. The ultimate goal is to provide the framework needed to ensure a successful transition back into civilian life.
We are contacting you to ask for your support by considering sponsoring the event or contributing a product/service.
In 2017, the first ever Spin for a Veteran event, we raised over $74,000, in 2018 we raised $216,804 and with your support we are hoping to surpass that amount this year. SPIN FOR A VETERAN2019 SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE
EVENT SUPPORTEROrganizations that provide product/service to the event will be recognized on the Spin for a Veteran website and on the sponsor board at the events.
THE CHALLENGE BIKE provides the public an opportunity to participate in the event. The goal is to cycle as far as they can within a ten-minute period. The participant who bikes the furthest within their ten-minutes will receive a prize.
THE VIP BIKE provides special guests an opportunity to participate in the event by cycling for 30 minutes. The participant who bikes the furthest within their 30 minutes will receive a prize.
