Summer Bible Study

St. John’s Gospel Chapter 6 and the Eucharist

August 4, 11, and 28, at 6:30 PM in classroom C in the Parish Center

The facilitator will be Ph.D. Candidate Robert Gervasini, Jr.

These evenings will address the Eucharistic Gospels we have been hearing during this particular part of the summer. These readings come around only every three years.

Msgr. Joseph A. Martin received his Masters degree in Moral Theology &

Education, as well as his Bachelors degree in Science. He is Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick’s Church, and also taught religion at the John F. Kennedy

School in New York. Msgr. Martin studied Spirituality at Fordham University while serving as Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of New York. He was appointed Spiritual Director of St. Joseph in Yonkers.

St. Clare Stewardship Ministry Corner

• The Stewardship Ministry meetings are held on a monthly basis in the lower rectory at 6 PM. The next meeting

will be held on Tuesday, September 22. All are welcome.

• The Prayer Ministry is dedicated to those who request our prayers. To join this ministry or to send a prayer intention, please write in the Book of Intentions near the Baptistry or e-mail [email protected] .

• The Respect Life Ministry seeks to promote and protect the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. The ministry meets the Third Wednesday of every month at 8:30 AM in the Parish Center. The next meeting will be August 19. All are welcome.

• The Hospitality Ministry provides a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for members of the St. Clare community and visitors, as well as new parishioners, to meet and interact with one another in a positive way. This ministry provides opportunities to promote parish fellowship and, when necessary, to assist the Pastor with special events. Meetings take place the first Thursday of every month at 8:30 AM in the Parish Center. All are welcome. The next meeting will be on August 6.

• The Helping Hands Ministry reaches out to those who are needy, elderly, sick or in need of bereavement consolation. This ministry meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 4 PM in the Parish Center. Enter through the door in the rear parking area. Please feel free to come to these meetings; new faces are always welcome. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 4.
