There’s a growing feeling of excitement and much anticipation surrounding preparations for our upcoming 2018-2019 season—outstanding partnerships and collaborations abound!

By popular request, we are bringing back some of our most critically acclaimed original works. Spirit Garden returns to the stage, embracing the growing appreciation for the tradition of Dia de los Muertos. A reimagined take on the life of nuevo tango godfather, Astor Piazzolla, is performed with live music and song. Viva Piazzolla! is presented in partnership with the Tucson Desert Song Festival and in collaboration with the Tucson Guitar Society and The Rogue Theatre.

New works include I’ll See You In My Dreams — a tribute to the Great American Songbook of the 20’s and 30’s performed with live music, La Dame aux Camélias —La Traviata in a gripping dance drama, and the Ballet Tucson premiere of George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations.

Footprints at the Fox continues a 2nd year of partnership with the Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation. This program provides new choreographic opportunity to our dancers and exposes young audiences and seasoned patrons to new voices in dance.

And of course, no season would be complete without the majesty and splendor of The Nutcracker.
