What is FEST? Glad you asked…
Friendship Evangelism Social Team (FEST) Excitement!
It’s a new name! It was changed for two reasons: (1) there has been confusion between Friendship Evangelism and Caring Hearts and they are separate minis-tries; (2) what a fun acronym—FEST!
Want to be a part of the FEST? Help plan a great year of FEST for 2015! If you are interested in being a part of the fun, please add your name and contact information to a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

The 46 sing-ers (youth to senior citizens) come from Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho – and represent fourteen communities and ten different SDA Churches. Applications are still being accepted for membership in this choral group. Tenors and basses are espe-cially encourage to prayerfully consider this ministry.

FIRST AND THIRD TUESDAY 11:00 AM TO 3:00 PM (or 4:00 PM)
Come for a great time to craft, quilt, or sew! fellowship and sharing. Bring a lunch and enjoy! Maybe learn something new.
Crafter’s Meet Up
Why have Vacation Bible School? That’s a good question. Seems like a lot of trouble to organize, enlist an army of work-ers and shop for craft supplies just to name a few reasons. It does take a lot of work...but the benefits are so great. The number of people reached for
Christ through VBS. VBS is one of Linwood’s flagship
events where everyone supports this effort and offers help as they can.
Connect with visiting families. We invite them for a warm and loving environ-ment to connect with us after VBS—in small group Bible study or a different ministry.
It is often said that children are the church of tomorrow but the truth is, they are the church of today as well. They may not yet be ready to financially sponsor or lead, but they certainly have a role to play. VBS could be the only things that really matters to a child hungering to find the Bread that satisfies.
Linwood needs a VBS director. If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact the church office.
Please pray for this outreach plan and our efforts to inform friends and families in and around our church. There is a training opportunity available on March 1 from 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. at Up-per Columbia Conference. There will be more than just VBS previews. The day in-cludes: creative invites, delegating tips, decorating ideas, craft resources, and vol-unteer training.
If you are interested, please contact the church office at 327-4400 or [email protected]..

Oh Mack! Pray for those Legos! This week we are praying for the Omak Ad-ventist Christian School. This is a little one room school in Omak, WA, led by Jennifer Hoffpauir. They are praising God for twelve great students, a fantastic teacher assistant, Mrs. Petersen, and a relatively smooth year so far. They would like prayer for the follow-ing: that they each have a closer walk with Jesus, for Team Terabyte (their Lego robot-ics team) as they prepare for the tourna-ment and for Emma, their eighth grader as she finishes out the year and prepares for graduation.

If you're interested in helping out with time or resources, please call BethAnne Moseanko at (509) 994-2483.
Be A Blessing The offering for this Sabbath, January 24, is for Religious Liberty. Seventh-day Ad-ventists have always been strong advo-cates of religious liberty—for themselves and for others. One of the ways we have proclaimed this message is through Liberty magazine. This week, we have the opportunity of giving an offering so that Liberty magazine will continue to be sent to influence leaders in our com-munity and throughout the country. Get this Sabbath's offering appeal.

An Old Fashioned Love Story
Coming this Valentine’s Day weekend, "Old Fashioned" is a faith-based love story about Clay, a reformed frat boy whose relationship with Christ impacts the way he looks at life and relationships; and Amber, a free-spirited woman who has felt the pain of dating rela-tionships. Together, they attempt the impos-sible: an old-fashioned courtship in contem-porary America! This refreshing love story is being released February 14. Read about this indie film, share it on social media, find church resources and more at www.oldfashionedmovie.com!
Sermons are available online Linwood’s website at linwoodsda.org. For your convenience, you can watch one at a time or enjoy many and watch consecutively. Keep watching. And watching. And watching.

We Believe . . .
1. That the Bible is the final authority for all belief and practice for the Christian (2 Timothy
3:16-17).
2. That there is one God revealed in three persons—God the Father, God the Son, and God
the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17: Genesis 1:26).
3. That we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16, 1 John 5:12-13
& Ephesians 2:8-9).
4. That Christians who have been redeemed by Jesus will live in obedience to all of His com-
mandments (John 14:15).
5. That Jesus will come again very soon (John 14:1-3).
6. That the requirements of the Ten Commandments are still binding on all people today,
including the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment
(Matthew 5:17, Exodus 20:8-11).
7. That the judgment which will decide the eternal destiny of all people is
now taking place in heaven (Daniel 8:14, 9:25-27).
8. That when a person dies they do not go immediately to heaven or
hell, but rest in the grave as one who is asleep awaiting the resurrection
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, John 5:28-29, 11:11-14).
9. That after Jesus comes again, the people of God will judge the world with Jesus, following
which fire will fall from heaven to completely devour the wicked and purify the earth (1
Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:4-9, 2 Peter 3:10-13).
10. That God, as a loving Father, wants us to live healthful lives avoiding foods and sub-
stances He has declared unfit, and actively pursuing positive lifestyle habits (Leviticus
11, Proverbs 20:1, Daniel 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
11. That the followers of Jesus will live pure and honorable lives making sure their business,
recreation and relationships meet the Bible standard (Philippians 4:8).
12. That God gives spiritual gifts to His people for the purpose of ministry. Given by the
agency of the Holy Spirit gifts provide the abilities and ministries such as faith, healing,
prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration, reconciliation, compassion, charity
and other gifts. (1 Corinthians 12; Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Peter 4:10, 11).
13. That the Seventh-day Adventist Church fills a special role in the world today to prepare
people for the 2nd coming of Jesus (Rev. 14:6-13).
14. That we will grow as we spend time with God in prayer, as we feed on His word and
share His love through witnessing.(2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 6:18; Galatians 5:22-25)
15. That the Bible teaches that all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior/Lord, and who
intend to obey all the teachings of the Bible should be baptized by immersion (John 3:5;
Mark 16:16 & Matthew 28:19-20).
