Hello again, Spokanites, I hope your holidays were merry and bright, and that you’re ready to have some fun in the snow! The best way to make winter warmer is to get moving with winter sports and unwind with indoor hobbies.

We have a spectacular array of winter activities including our popular Moonlight Snowshoe and Moonlight Cross Country outings. If indoor is more your style, you can learn to make your own Mozzarella Cheese, pick up the ukulele or work on your indoor fitness with Pilates, yoga, and cardio classes like ZUMBA® .

Your kids might already be counting down til summer. Well, it pays to think ahead! Right now our Riverfront Park Season Pass and our Aquatics Season Pass are at their lowest prices of the season. They make great gifts, and easily pay for themselves many times over.

Before summer break, we do have a few no-school days coming up. Your kids will have a blast at day camp with us during Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day and Spring Break.

Stay healthy and active, and whether you like it or not, winter will be over before we know it. Take care, Leroy EadieCity of Spokane Parks & Recreation Director
