MISSION STATEMENT• Our core business philosophy is to provide intimate stewardship for
our Sponsors business by using a dedicated, steadfast team that becomes an extension of our Sponsors marketing department. SGE believes that no one knows more about their particular business than the Sponsor. So, we listen to our Sponsors, we learn their business, and we work together to meet or exceed their goals. We see our Sponsors as people, not accounts. We believe good chemistry, based on exceptional customer service and mutual respect, is a key element in successful client relationships.
• Our promise to our listeners is to continuously provide San Antonio Sports Fans with a friendly and personable show that will appeal to all. Our inspiring programming will continue to be informative, educating, and entertaining to all listeners.
• We will provide our employees with a work environment that fulfills their personal and professional goals conducting themselves in the highest standards: Hard work, dedication, productivity, service, honesty, pursuit of excellence, resourcefulness, ethics, morality, integrity and perseverance.
THE TEAM• Calvin Casey - Calvin is co-founder of Sports Grind
Entertainment and the President & CEO of SGE. He's a native San Antonian who is a graduate of Roosevelt High School and prior to SPORTS GRIND, worked in marketing and sales. In 2003, Calvin teamed up with Rudy and Johnny Salami and started to lay the foundation for Sports Grind Entertainment, LLC, which debuted September 13, 2004
• Rudy J - Rudy was born in Tyler, TX and raised in San Antonio. A self proclaimed sports fanatic "with a weird affection for the game of soccer," which he played for 20 years. Rudy is a fan of the LA Lakers, the Chicago Bears, Texas Longhorns as well as the WNBA's Silverstars.
THE TEAM• Johnny Salami - Although Johnny was born and raised in Washington, DC,
Salami has called San Antonio home since the early 90's. He's a MLB fanatic but in his words, "very much a simple guy." Salami takes three things in life seriously: his love for the St. Louis Cardinals; the Wu-Tang Clan, the "greatest rappers in the world"; and his Jack Daniels. His bucketlist includes seeing the Cardinals play in every MLB stadium - he's already 13 out of 30! Salami's motto is "It ain't where you’re from, it's where you're at."
• Sabrina Avila – Sabrina is the newest addition to the team and her role is Chief Operations Officer. She manages the public relations and promotional teams and all company’s outdoor projects. She is infected with eternal optimism and passion, she sees opportunity where others see failure. She is a native San Antonian and well known citizen who brings many values to the team. She has numerous years of branding, marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotions experience in the San Antonio market. She worked for Bromley Communications one of the leading Hispanic advertising agencies in the country and Cartel Creativo one of the largest multicultural communication firms in the nation.
