This year, we thank our most generous donors and sponsors with a special invitation-only event at the Keene home of Nils & Muriel Luderowski. Nils Luderowski, AIA received his education in New York City at the Pratt Institute of Art & Design. Influenced by Scandinavian design, Nils ran a design studio in the city, but has called the high peaks

region of the Adirondacks home since the mid-1990s. Join Nils and Muriel Luderowski, other generous AARCH donors, staff and board for an intimate afternoon reception in the 1825 Federal style Keene farmhouse that this design couple call home. Guests will be treated to drinks and appetizers and a special tour of the studio where this pioneer of the “New Adirondack Style” of architecture turns vernacular into spectacular.

Join us for a romantic evening of Baroque pieces at the fourth annual benefit concert at Greystone Mansion in Essex. Hosts David Hislop and Stephen Maselli open their spacious and stately home overlooking Lake Champlain for this special event. Expect a variety of classics from the Renaissance to the 20th century, including music by Lassus, Bach, DeMachy, Bartok, and Berio. A post-concert reception included. Regular ticket $40 per person. Attendance 50. Invitation to 1,000 members. Press Release & Promotion to a minimum of 5,000 households.

2018 SPECIAL EVENTS

This will be THE networking event of the season! See and be seen as we unleash the power of preservation. Join us for this special community-embracing event to benefit Adirondack Architectural Heritage at one of the biggest preservation success stories our region has witnessed—the newly-restored Hotel Saranac. Rub elbows and chat with the movers, shakers, and doers of the preservation family including the local architects, builders, authors, historians, planners and others who make historic preservation projects happen in our area. We’ve invited a host of VIPs from the architecture and preservation world. This is our community and we want you to be there.

FREE! Welcome to All

10TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT LAKE PLACID CLUB | LAKE PLACID

Get ready for another round on the Lake Placid Club’s Links Course. We’re pulling out all the stops for our 10th Anniversary tournament! Designed in 1909 by the master Scottish golf instructor and club maker Seymour Dunn, the Links Course is laid out in true links style, with 7,052 yards of wide open fairways and large undulating greens. True links golf requires guile and cunning more than strength, and this course is a classic example of such a challenge.

Pre-tournament luncheon, post-tournament cocktail reception (with complimentary hors d’ouevres and cash bar) and awards presentation— along with fabulous auction prizes— will make the event a full day of fun to support AARCH and our regional historic preservation work!

Format is four-man scramble with three divisions: men’s, women’s, and mixed. Prizes are awarded for net and gross in each division.

18th Green View, Lake Placid Club

The registration fee is $125 per player. Our annual golf tournament has quickly grown to one of summer’s most highly-anticipated events. Nearly 100 golfers return year-after-year in what one golfer called “one of the best run tournaments” he’s ever played in.

Always the highlight of our season! At this gathering, we honor the best

preservation projects and the people and organizations behind them.

Our annual awards luncheon is an afternoon of sharing the stories of the

projects, people, and communities that collectively exemplify the best

preservation work in the Adirondacks. The event will also include a

buffet lunch prepared by Valcour Brewing Company, former Old Stone

Barracks, and winner of a 2017 AARCH Preservation Award for the

restoration and rehabilitation of the 1838 Old Stone Barracks.

Regular ticket price $50 per person. Attendance 100. Invitation to
