We have a comprehensive benefits package with many opportunities to showcase your brand at the Steveston Salmon Festival.On July 1st, the Salmon Festival will celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation at “Canada’s biggest little birthday party” in Steveston! The Salmon Festival began on Dominion Day in 1944 as a community Family Sports Day to raise funds to build a children’s playground, and has since grown into an event that in recent years has attracted up to an estimated 100,000 people. Despite this growth, the fundamental philosophy of our founders remains the same: to raise funds to support projects in and around the Steveston Community Centre for the benefit of the whole community. This year, we will be continuing our efforts to grow a capital fund to rebuild the children’s playground in Steveston Park.The Steveston Salmon Festival recognizes our sponsors as an integral part of our success. Sponsorship OpportunitiesThe 2017 Steveston Salmon Festival will be an exciting time as we mark the occasion of Canada’s 150th birthday! We’re planning bigger and better attractions this year, plus the City of Richmond is also planning Canada 150 celebrations across the entire village, so that Steveston will be the place to be for showing our national pride and celebrating along with 100,000 of our closest friends and neighbours! Invest in YOUR community!Surplus funds generated by the 2017 Salmon Festival will be directed towards a capital fund to rebuild the Steveston Park playground in partnership with the City of Richmond. As of January 2017, the playground project design concept has been approved, and will be forwarded to City Council for final approval in early spring, 2017. The project is expected to be completed in 2018.
